I saw it on the big screen when it came out. Changed my life. It was briefly on Television around '96. Part of the movie was shot in an ambitious , but unsuitable for TV , split screen process . It's never been commercially released to VHS , DVD or Blue Ray, and that's a crime , because it's a fine film with (Mostly) standout performances by Chuck Berry , Little Richard , Bill Haley, Bo Diddley , The Coasters , Chubby Checker and The Five Satins, interspersed with great movie , TV , news and educational film clips of The 50's. Plus , you get to see Bo frying chicken , Little Richard claiming he was the only Jewish person washing dishes at the Macon , Georgia , Greyhound Bus station and Chubby Checker going boogity , boogity down the hall , hittin' the head , shouting "I GOTTA PEE ! I GOTTA PEE !!", MAKIN... less
