Worth was once one of THEE meccas of Teen clubs and Garage bands (There's a great documentary , "Teen Beat A- Go - Go".) . Of course , in later years , nothing came along to fill the void left by the Late 60's. Some groups , like Kenny and The Kasuals,The Novas and Larry and The Blue Notes(Even The Neurotic Sheep !) eventually reformed , but , mainly as bar bands. When I lived in Dallas in The 80's , there was no new Garage scene , save for The Shitty Beatles (Yes , the funny band name heard in "Wayne's World". They were a real group. I did shows with them.). They were in their mid - 30's and , due to ageism and their lack of Led Zeppeliney hair , the younger clubhoppers in Deep Ellum could'nt be bothered with them . There was far less happening in Ft. Worth , after their one Punk venue , Zero's , went under. less
