BABY WOODROSE - LIGHT UP YOUR MIND
This 7" contains two exclusive songs originally recorded to be included on the Third Eye Surgery album from 2012. Lorenzo Woodrose wrote on his website: "Ralph was my friend, technician, producer, booker, soundman, tourmanager and travelling companion since 1996. VARIOUS - SEDAYEH DEL (2LP)
Khosh Amadid, friends, to this 4th volume in a series of compilations highlighting fiercely rare 45s from Tehran's pre-revolutionary golden age. Vivacious ladies with sassy Dorothy Hamill haircuts and skin-bearing pantsuits were once plastered across Tehran's newsstands. Those gorgeous sirens and their hunky male counterparts made all the teens sway to hand drums that boinked in 6/8 time. Plush brass & string arrangements took their cues from Latin grooves, psychedelic guitars, ritzy soundtracks, and sugary pop from the West. Within months of the 1979 Islamic revolution, pop music was labeled a symbol of the previous regime and became illegal overnight. In those same months, it also became illegal for women to be in public without conforming to the hijab dress code. By hook and crook, these little round records survived, and they attest to a time when Tehran's homegrown and exiled populations would have been united in an easygoing love for funk bass & buzzing synthesizers. Hear the tunes that rivaled the hits of Googoosh & Kourosh by singers who only recorded a few precious singles, but dont think for a minute that Tehran's nightingales have run out of surprises for your ears. The discoveries are just beginning. Tracks: 01 ZIA - Helelyos 02 FARROKHZAD - Avazekhan Na Avaz 03 SHOHREH - Del 04 SHAMAIZADEH - Agar Bekhai Mitooni 05 NOOSHAFARIN - Gole Aftabgardoon 06 ZIA - Kermani 07 AZITA - Yaare Chaghalo 08 SHAHROKH - Koolehbaar 09 SHAMAIZADEH - Be Man Tekyeh Kon 10 BETI - Hele Dan Dan 11 AZITA - Baba Heydar 12 SATTAR - Sedayeh Del 13 SOLI Feat. NELI - Tasvire Yek Fasl 14 AFSHIN - Tarhe Khoshbakhti 15 SHOREH - Omadi 16 MAZIAR - Mahigir.

DOLLY ROCKER MOVEMENT - YOUR SIDE OF TOWN
It has been a little bit quiet around the Australian band The Dolly Rocker Movement since they released their third album Our Days Mind the Tyme in 2010. Main man Daniel J. Poulter moved to the US for awhile and when he returned to Australia he started a new band called Kill City Creeps. But Poulter has not completely forgotten about The Dolly Rocker Movement which is why Bad Afro is proud to present a brand new 7" EP. The title track is a slightly melancholic psych pop song with vibrant guitar licks and cool organs while Silently We Sung has a more quirky beat miles away from the usual garage thang. The 7" single is featuring a bonus track compared to the download version in shape of "Girl of the 13th hour", a cover of the obscure Texas garage band Chaz and the Classics from 1967. Tracklisting: 01. Your side of town 02. Girl of the 13Th Hour.

BOHEMIAN BEDROCKS - THE BOHEMIAN BEDROCKS
Recorded in 1984 in New York City, this wax captures the live vibe of one of garage's best kept secrets, The BOHEMIAN BEDROCKS. When Bobby Belfiore (formerly of The Purple Onion) moved to NYC from D.C. in the Summer of '84, he met up with Orin Portnoy (formerly of The OUTTA PLACE), Elan Portnoy (the FUZZTONES, the HEADLESS HORSEMEN) and Ira Elliot (the FUZZTONES, NADA SURF) to form the group. Ultimately changing their name to The Optic Nerve, the band existed for just a few months before Ira and Elan left for Europe with the FUZZTONES. In that brief period, they played several high-octane gigs and recorded these never-before-released tunes on a 4-track in the FUZZTONES' rehearsal space. From dark, sizzling psych-punk and wylde garage-beat, to ravin' r'n'b and jangly folk rock, from the 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS and the EYES to the Q65 and the BYRDS, it's all in here. You just have to grab it!! Tracklist: Side 1 : 1. You're really think you're someone 2. You're too much 3. I was alone 4. Wish we never met 5. She lives in a time of her own. SIDE 2: 1. I got nightmares 2. Declaration of independence 3. Ain't that a man 4. I'll give you lovin' 5. I see the truth.
MOUSE & THE TRAPS - THE FRATERNITY YEARS
Mouse & The Traps, from Texas are principally known for the classic garage and folk-rock of A Public Execution, Maid Of Sugar and Lie, Beg, Borrow & Steal. Based in the eastern city of Tyler and evolving from a group of pickers who hung out at Robin Hood Brian's recording studio, Mouse (Ronnie Weiss) and his band ruled the region in the latter half of the 60s. The Traps made a name for themselves throughout the south with some incendiary performances and scored several regional hits, with the Dylan-laced Execution making the national charts in 1966. Signed to the venerable Cincinnati indie Fraternity, with a dozen singles under their belt, there were rumours among collectors for years that a Mouse & The Traps LP existed. There never was an album, but now Big Beat has decided to condense the contents of their well-received Mouse & The Traps CD anthology The Fraternity Years into one all-killer vinyl edition. It's the kind of power-packed disc fans would have hoped for back in the day. As a special bonus, it includes a previously unissued alternate version of the acts 1968 single Sometimes You Just Can't Win. SIDE ONE: 1. A PUBLIC EXECUTION 2. MAID OF SUGAR, MAID OF SPICE 3. NOBODY CARES 4. I'M A MAN 5. LIKE I KNOW YOU DO 6. I AM THE ONE 7. DO THE BEST YOU CAN 8. I'VE GOT HER LOVE - Chris St John. SIDE TWO: 1. CRYIN' INSIDE 2. LIE, BEG, BORROW AND STEAL 3.
