NOTHING & THE NO NAMES - BEARSVILLE ROCK/CUTE LITTLE SWEETIE
A 7-inch with two crude and crazy unknown rockers! Less than ten original copies on the Brenda-label are known to exist!
BASS DRUM OF DEATH - SHATTERED ME/CRAWLING AFTER YOU (8")
Lead single from the record capturing the essence of blown-apart pop music. Pressed on a custom 8" vinyl (part of the Innov8 series) with the backing Wavves-meets-Roky Erickson track 'Crawling After You' on the flip.
COLEMAN, JOHN WESLEY - WHISPER MOUNTAIN/EVERYTHING'S GONE GREY
A fine 7-inch release from self-proclaimed trash poet, novelist and songwriter JOHN WESLEY COLEMAN (GOLDEN BOYS). Coleman gained underground recognition for his incredible solo debut LP, 'Steal My Mind' (2009), a lo-fi gem-reminiscent of Lou Reed's solo albums, The Television Personalities' catalogue and Alex Chilton's late '70s releases. When not playing with The Golden Boys, Coleman continued to release solo material, for both Permanent Records and seminal Memphis label Goner. 'Whisper Mountain' b/w 'Everything's Gone Grey' finds Coleman continuing in his lo-fi ways (the B-Side was recorded in a kitchen), this time backed up by his new group including bassist GEENA SPIGARELI and drummer YAMAL SAID.
COLLINS, LORRIE & LARRY - WHISTLE BAIT/HOT ROD
'Whistle Bait' and 'Hot Rod' by teenage rock and roll sensations Lorrie and Larry Collins both feature whiplash vocals and guitar, and are now regarded justly as rockabilly classics, as indeed are a number of their other recordings. Check out their amazing live recordings of both sides on YouTube. These sides appeared originally on different singles.
CORVETTES - SHAFTEN/JANICE
This growling sax and guitar instrumental rocker from Indiana represents a real slice of early sixties small town teen life. Check out The Corvettes' full story elsewhere. 'Shaften' has appeared on a few LPs and CDs over the years but is best comped on Volume One of the fantastic and essential 'Strummin' Mental' series on Crypt. Flip 'Janice' is a high school type teen ballad made all the more endearing for sounding like it was cooked up and arranged in the garage.
FUZZ, THE - THE FUZZ
Two tracks by The Fuzz, a new Memphis band made up of Harlan T. Bobo, Jack Oblivian Yarber, Bruce Saltmarsh and Jeff Dutton. 'Air' b/w 'Cold Stares'.
GRIFFIN, CURLEY - YOU GOTTA PLAY FAIR/I'VE SEEN IT ALL
Curley Griffin made the fantastic 'Got Rockin' On My Mind' featuring Carl Perkins and his band for Atomic in 1956 reprod back in the seventies. The two sides featured here, both super primitive rockabillies from 1955, are even earlier and also have Perkins on guitar with some of his earliest examples of his celebrated rock and roll guitar work. Originally issued as A-sides of two different singles.
NIAGARA (USA) - NIAGARA
Two covers by Destroy All Monsters-vocalist Niagara backed by a band including Dan Kroha (Gories, Demolition Doll Rods) and Jeff Meier (Rocket 455, ex-Detroit Cobras). The tracks are 'Maggie McGill' and 'Sister Ray'.

FUMESTONES - NOW AT THE MINIBAR
"Considering the cover art, inspired by the best of sixties cartoons, this one just couldnt go wrong. Rooted deep into the retro legacy of such garage-punk revival pioneers as The Gruesomes or The Miracle Workers, these fuming Spaniards deliver the goods just as well. Not unlike with the above mentioned soulmates, the songs are split between furious garage punk snarl (Minibar, A Blinds Nun Thoughts), just a bit more restrained mid60s beat (Pamplona), with enough punky attitude to keep it within the initial concept, as well as moody riff-laden Fuzz-tones (Out Of Tears) ... All the ingredients that make an instant garage punk classic."

NO-GOODS - WONDER/MAUREEN
The trademarks of THE NO-GOODS are the Outsiders matching beat and the Q65 strong lyrics. THE NO-GOODS have a born sense of losership, but are always full of inspiration. "Wonder" is the perfect example, its a brilliant slice of that Lekkere Beat, an outstanding sing-a-long pop beat song. "Maureen" is a song about a girl, fueled by despair as you could have guessed. The result is another fine 45 filled with Dutch garage beat you'll have to have! Limited to 300 copies.
SENSATIONAL SECOND COUSINS - UNTIL YOU'RE SATISFIED/MEANEST THING
Klazienaveen's most frantic rock'n'roll duo debut with this fabulous 2-sider. The Sensational Second Cousins are Hectic Henri, also known as Henri Keefman, and yes, his second cousin, Ravin Jerk. With their home built drumkit and a stack of Johnny Powers, Sonny Burgess and Johnny Burnette records they created "Until you're satisfied", an ultra short blast, and the crude "Meanest thing". With this line-up easy comparisons can be drawn to the Gories and the Oblivians, but with some savage KBD punk thrown in as a bonus. Just over a month ago Kogar Records released their debut, now Kuriosa Records has found some money to release their second 45: The howling WOLF and the vicious MURDERER. Enjoy! Limited to 250 copies.
