Peter Buck of REM and Baseball Project fame grinding out a garage rocking cover of the Mummies evergreen hit "You Must Fight To Live On The Planet Of the Apes". TOTAL CONTROL - CARPET RASH
This 12" includes the original version of 'Carpet Rash' which was re-recorded in full band mode for Henge Beat, and two previously unreleased immersive rhythm tracks formed through collaboration between guitarist MIKEY YOUNG and drummer JAMES VINCIGUERRA. GRITS 'N GRAVY - CAT LEE KING VS MIGHTY MIKE OMD (10")
Debut release by the brandnew two-piece Grits'n Gravy. The title of the album is Cat Lee King vs. Mighty Mike OMB! You might have seen Mighty Mike doing his one-man-band thing or causing trouble as the drummer/singer of Voodoo Rhythm recording artists The Juke Joint Pimps, but you sure do not know about Cat Lee King. The King is a skinny 20 year old rock & roller (looking like 17) living in the hill country east of Cologne. He plays a mean piano and has a voice that knocks you out. No idea where he gets it from, but he has the soul of Ray Charles and the mean attack of Bunker Hill. This guy is going to be a star! Remember: you heard him here first! The guys spent a day in the studio and the resulting 8 track will be released on a nice 10". Expect covers of tunes by Bunker Hill, Gary US Bonds, Nick Curran, J. Starkes (of Nightriders fame), Dickie Thompson (amazing version of 13 Women) and Larry Williams as well as two original tunes - Little Devil Talking is simply killer! You are going to witness a Rhythm & Blues Battle of Epic Proportions!

FUTURE PRIMITIVES - SONGS WE TAUGHT OURSELVES
While working on this exclusive edition of 'Songs We Taught Ourselves', Casbah & Dangerhouse Skylab suggested to The Future Primitives that they try a different cover artwork. The answer was clear. No man, we want to keep the DIY and the reference to the child-like aspect of the first album discoveries. And indeed, here is what The Future Primitives have to offer with this album, that until now was only available on bandcamp: a tribute to these early years, as the obscure tracks of Captain Beefheart, The Mummies, Link Wray, The Haunted, The Milkshakes slapped them in the face. Something obvious, faithful. On 'Songs We Taught Ourselves', the trio from Cape Town shouts loud and clear their fascination for the music that comes from the guts, with a staggering easiness. 'Songs We Taught Ourselves' carves the Future Primitives' touch, and shoots at point blank range the fury that some unknown heros have been willing to inflict to their decades contemporaries... Limited to 500 copies including download card.
IRREPARABLES - IRREPARABLES

BATMAN - GERMAN SCHLAGER SINGLE
Another Team-up of RED LOUNGE and BACHELOR Records brings you the first proper solo release of BATMAN in true Schlager fashion. We still dont know how he talked us into this but he managed to persuade us to release a single without his sidekick Robin, lyrics sung in german language and a very expensive and originally signed autograph card. Actually we were quite surprised about the quality of these recordings.Heino Meets garage Punk! you know thats that spells P-A-R-T-Y!!!!!!!! If he wouldnt be so ugly and Mark Ronson would be have produced it this would be a major hit record. But well, this way ist gonna be a rare gem in a couple of years. This one is limited to 360 copies.
MONKS - PRETTY SUZANNE
1967 UNRELEASED heavy FUZZ Version from mega rare one-sided acetate). This is the one to change the history books. So far we were lead to believe that the Monks, after their LP failed to chart, tuned it down and tried a couple more pop tunes before vanishing in oblivion. The truth is far from that: bound by their contract with Polydor, the Monks were unable to develope their music the way they really wanted to. In 1967 the Monks went on their own time and money into Tonstudio Pfanz near Hamburg to record this smashing fuzz driven freak beat version of Pretty Suzanne behind Polydor's back!! Trying to fuck over Germany's biggest record label???? It doesn't get more punk than that in my book!!! Sure enough they got in trouble for it and this killer version remained unreleased to this day. First ever legit reissue in full cooperation with the Monks. Mastered from the original (only known!!) acetate. In amazing high fidelity fuzz sound!!!
MOTIONS - WASTED WORDS: THE HAVOC 45'S
When The Motions crashed into the Dutch charts at the beginning of 1965 with Its Gone, they opened the floodgates for a tidal wave of young Dutch bands. Few of them, though, could match the pure excitement etched into the grooves of The Motions 1965-66 singles, featuring the definitive lineup of singer Rudy Bennett, songwriter/guitarist Robbie van Leeuwen, bass player Henk Smitskamp and drummer Sieb Warner. That magnificent procession of songs is laid out for all to hear in dynamically remastered sound on Wasted Words: The HAVOC 45s. The raw, frenetic thrash of Its Gone and We Fell In Love, vibrant, mournful laments like Ive Got Misery, For Another Man and Ill Follow The Sun, the stark socially-conscious folk-rock of Wasted Words, the explosive freakbeat of Everything Thats Mine and the sophisticated pop balladry of My Love Is Growing - all written by master songsmith (and future Shocking Blue mastermind) Robbie van Leeuwen. The latter song so impressed co-producer Scott Walker that he recorded it with the Walker Brothers. Pressed on 180 gram vinyl, Wasted Words features a top quality 350 gram carton gatefold sleeve featuring rare photos and all of the original picture sleeve artwork.
Q65 - (BLACK) THE LIFE I LIVE/THE DECCA 45'S
LIMITED EDITION 500 COPIES. LP black 180 grams vinyl 350 grams carton Gatefold sleeve with Japanese plastic bag. Liner notes Mike Stax / Ugly Things Magazine. To their fans - then and now - Q65 were more than a musical group, they were a way of life. Formed in The Hague in 1965, Q65s wild, unconventional music and rebellious image quickly inspired a large and fiercely fanatical following. From early 1966 until late 1967 they laid siege to the Dutch charts with a string of outstanding singles: from the roughshod rhythm & blues of Youre The Victor to the explosive psychedelic rock of So High Ive Been, So Down I Must Fall. This deluxe vinyl set gathers together all of Q65s 1966-67 singles for the first time, all mastered from the original tapes in glorious mono, as heard on those original 45rpm releases. The stellar lineup of tracks includes their defining hit The Life I Live, Cry In The Night, the vitriolic I Despise You, the exclusive 45 mix of From Above, World Of Birds and It Came To Me. All four tracks from the sought-after Kjoe Blues EP are also featured, including a blistering, fuzz guitar-spattered version of Jimmy Reeds Aint That Loving You Babe, and their utterly stoned-out, zoned-out take on Robert Johnson's Ramblin' On My Mind. Beautifully packaged with all the original single sleeve artwork and full liner notes, THE LIFE I LIVE presents Q65 in their prime, making music of a deeply inspired brilliance few bands could ever hope to match.
