ASTEROID B-612 - READING BETWEEN THE LINES (2LP)
"Reading Between the lines" was the 4th and last album by Australian high energy rock champions Asteroid B-612, and the only one they recorded with the final line-up of the band, as a four piece, with Graheme Spittles taking the place of Grant McIver on vocals and Stewart Leadfinger Cunningham out of the band. The record came out in a very short edition on the great australian Full Toss imprint, and was promptly deleted. No Tomorrow considers this a too important work not to be in print, and through the Asteroids main man Johnny Casino decided to put it back in stock in a repackaged edition, with new artwork and 5 BONUS tracks: one non-album song from the sole single taken from the LP, two songs from the EP "Different licks for different chicks" (a Rolling Stones cover and a Flamin' Groovies cover and a Died Pretty/Pere Ubu medley cover appeared on a French compilation.
CHEATER SLICKS - SKIDMARKS
CHEATER SLICKS were formed in 1987 by Tom Shannon, Dave Shannon and Dana Hatch. A succession of bassists, vocalists, violinists and ventriloquists passed through the ranks, but these three founders remained the core of the group. Skidmarks is a sampling of tracks recorded from 1989 to 1994.
DEVIL DOGS - BIGGER BEEF BONANZA!
Reissue. Extra-bold 180gm vinyl of this Crypt garage punk classic.
DOCTOR EXPLOSION - THE SUBNORMAL REVOLUTION OF
Spain's #1 garage-punk band's first US release. A blast of great 60s inspired rock & roll, this album contains the best of their two Spanish releases.
EXPLOSIVOS, LOS - SONIDOS ROCANROL
Second album by Mexico's #1 garage-punk! Featuring vocals by the Cynics' Michael Kastelic in one track! All originals except one excellent cover of Barcelona 80s garage pop band Los Negativos.
FROWNING CLOUDS - LISTEN CLOSELIER
A simple word to describe this release would be, undoubtedly, authenticity. The Frowning Clouds have the teenager fury of those lost bands from the Peebles, Nuggets and other compilations; the sound and the attitude of the earliest Rolling Stones, and their sight set on the blackest rhythm & blues. Its amazing how theyve assimilated these influences developing their own personality.
GIUDA - RACEY ROLLER (IT)
Reissue on Giuda's own Fungo Records. Sleeve slightly different from the Dead Beat versions. Working from the same glammy three-chord blueprint as contemporaries like Slade, T. Rex, Status Quo, and the Sweet, GIUDA take you back to a monumental by gone era of Rock N Roll. Specifically the early 70's pre-punk, glitter days when music was all about monstrous riffs, bousterous attitudes, high energy experimentation and fun. GIUDA take that same glammy, proto-punk foundation and fuse it with the grimy, tattered muck of bands like Eddie And The Hot Rods, The Pack, PVC and The Kids to create a timeless arsenal of glam injected, pub rock classics. Top notch glitter-fused, punk rock slop that has as much to do with the Faces and Slaugher and the Dogs as it does the UK Junk Shop bands from the '70's' like Hector, Plod and the Rats. Absolutely crushing full length here. Ex-members of TAXI.
GROUP 1850 - (RED) MOTHER NO-HEAD: THEIR 45S (2LP)
Limited to 200 copies on red vinyl! Though they were a product of the beat group age, Group 1850 were the Netherlands' first progressive band, in every sense of that word. Constantly changing, constantly evolving, Group 1850 were musical extremists on a do-or-die mission to explode all expectations. Sparks flew, ideas flared, feedback swirled through misty nights, the dead walked, skeletons danced, flies buzzed, mountains fell, words rained fire from angry purple skies. Group 1850 raised all kinds of Hell. My god, were they good. Although the group made two deservedly revered albums, 'Agemo's Trip To Mother Earth' (1968) and 'Paradise Now' (1969), some of their best work can be found on their singles, where their borderline insane hyper-creativity was focused into highly-concentrated, radically potent three-minute songs like 'Misty Night', 'Mother No-Head', 'Zero, We Love Live (Like We Love You)', 'Don't Let It Be (We Have to Do It Now)' and the magnificent 'Have You Ever Heard'. The A- and B-sides of all their singles can be found on this double LP set in their original mono mixes, mastered from the original tapes. A number of previously unreleased demos are also included. Pressed on 180-gram vinyl, 'Mother No-Head: Their 45s' comes packaged in a breathtaking gatefold cover with rare archival photos and liner notes by Ugly Things Mike Stax. Chapter A: 1. HIGHER STATE - FREAKOUT AT THE GALLERY
The Higher State return with their long-awaited third album, Freakout at the Gallery! While still employing their bedrock signature sound of fuzzy 60's-style garage psychedelia meshed with jangly folk-punk, the group expands their musical horizons through a broader mix of instrumentation. On these 12 new songs, sitar, piano, and even a lush string arrangement add a lot of color to this affair. Mix all of these vibrations with quite possibly some of their most infectious vocal harmonies and spot-on, thought-provocative lyrics to date, and you will bear witness to the Freakout at the Gallery. Quite possibly, becoming an active participant as well, as the sounds excite your ears, move your feet, and paint the colors of your mind!
KING SALAMI & THE CUMBERLAND THREE - 14 BLAZIN' BANGERS!
London's newest Rhythm'n'Blues-Punk sensation - okay, so they are perhaps our only Rhythm'n'Blues-Punk outfit - are making fun times where ever they go. With a repertoire encompassing and influenced by many of the greats of the '50s and '60s you won't be able to help but move your feet when the Cumberland Three are blasting out of your speakers. The King howls like Screaming Jay Hawkins with Bo Diddley chasing his coat-tail whilst Andre Williams tries to offer up some of his bacon fat. This man never stops shakin' and twistin' and groovin' while the Cumberland Three (former members of the Parkinsons, Ulcers, and Chinese Lungs) play their own branded mix of vintage rockabilly, desperate rock'n'roll and a bit of soul with fire, energy, gusto and fun! Their four singles have sold like the proverbial hot cakes and this, their debut album, is sure to do the same. This is an old fashioned singles band, one that puts out one seven inch after another, all designed, and guaranteed, to get you dancing like a madman. Fourteen top tunes on one album is a sure fire dance floor filler at any party.
MIGHTY CAESARS - ENGLISH PUNK ROCK EXPLOSION
A mighty bold 16-song "Best-Of Volume 1" featuring such beasties as "Wiley Coyote", "You Make Me Die", "Miss America", "Loathesome And Wild" etc.!
MOTIONS - WASTED WORDS: THE HAVOC 45'S
When The Motions crashed into the Dutch charts at the beginning of 1965 with Its Gone, they opened the floodgates for a tidal wave of young Dutch bands. Few of them, though, could match the pure excitement etched into the grooves of The Motions 1965-66 singles, featuring the definitive lineup of singer Rudy Bennett, songwriter/guitarist Robbie van Leeuwen, bass player Henk Smitskamp and drummer Sieb Warner. That magnificent procession of songs is laid out for all to hear in dynamically remastered sound on Wasted Words: The HAVOC 45s. The raw, frenetic thrash of Its Gone and We Fell In Love, vibrant, mournful laments like Ive Got Misery, For Another Man and Ill Follow The Sun, the stark socially-conscious folk-rock of Wasted Words, the explosive freakbeat of Everything Thats Mine and the sophisticated pop balladry of My Love Is Growing - all written by master songsmith (and future Shocking Blue mastermind) Robbie van Leeuwen. The latter song so impressed co-producer Scott Walker that he recorded it with the Walker Brothers. Pressed on 180 gram vinyl, Wasted Words features a top quality 350 gram carton gatefold sleeve featuring rare photos and all of the original picture sleeve artwork. REMASTERED IN THE 24-BIT DOMAIN FROM THE ORIGINAL MASTER TAPES CHAPTER A 1. It's Gone 2:30 2. I've Got Misery 3:17 3. You Bother Me 2:08 4. We Fell In Love 1:57 5. For Another Man 1:49 6. OUTSIDERS - MONKEY ON YOUR BACK: THE 45'S (2LP)
The Netherlands boasted a fertile beat scene in the 1960s, but few bands could match the greatness of the Outsiders from Amsterdam. Led by the uniquely gifted songwriting team of singer Wally Tax and guitarist Ronnie Splinter, The Outsiders left behind a prolific catalog of original music that easily matches up to the best the UK or the USA had to offer during the same period. The evidence is all here on Monkey On Your Back: Their 45s, a two-disc 180gm vinyl collection featuring the original mono A- and B-sides of all of their singles from the crazed punk R&B of 1965s You Mistreat Me to 1969s infectious Do You Feel Allright (once described by Wally Tax as "like cowboys sitting on space rockets"). Their biggest hits are all here, including Lying All The Time, Touch, Monkey On Your Back and Summer Is Here, alongside favorites like Suns Going Down, I Love Her Still, I Always Will, That's Your Problem and You Remind Me. A handful of rarities and unreleased tracks round out the set, including Talk To Me, a demo of Monkey On Your Back, and stereo versions of Touch and Bird In A Cage. The eye-popping gatefold cover lays out all of the original picture sleeve artwork along with other rare shots. Original single versions! 2LP black 180 gram vinyl, 350 gram carton gatefold sleeve. OUTSIDERS - OUTSIDERS (2LP)
Released at the peak of their popularity in early 1967, The Outsiders' debut-album featured one side of live recordings and one side of studio-tracks. The album finds them playing with a rawness and urgency few groups could ever match on primal but brilliantly conceived tracks like 'Story 16', 'Afraid Of The Dark', 'Filthy Rich' and 'Won't You Listen'. This expanded double-album reissue adds a second disc of rare material, including a previously unreleased studio-session from January 1966, a live concert taped at Paradiso in December 1968, and a remarkable instrumental demo of Strange Things Are Happening. Dynamically re-mastered in the 24-bit domain from the original tapes, and pressed in 180-gram vinyl, 'The Outsiders' comes in a spectacular gatefold sleeve and includes liner-notes by Ugly Things magazine's Mike Stax. Q65 - THE LIFE I LIVE/THE DECCA 45'S
LIMITED EDITION 500 COPIES. LP Black 180 grams vinyl 350 grams carton Gatefold sleeve with Japanese plastic bag. Liner notes Mike Stax / Ugly Things Magazine. To their fans - then and now - Q65 were more than a musical group, they were a way of life. Formed in The Hague in 1965, Q65s wild, unconventional music and rebellious image quickly inspired a large and fiercely fanatical following. From early 1966 until late 1967 they laid siege to the Dutch charts with a string of outstanding singles: from the roughshod rhythm & blues of Youre The Victor to the explosive psychedelic rock of So High Ive Been, So Down I Must Fall. This deluxe vinyl set gathers together all of Q65s 1966-67 singles for the first time, all mastered from the original tapes in glorious mono, as heard on those original 45rpm releases. The stellar lineup of tracks includes their defining hit The Life I Live, Cry In The Night, the vitriolic I Despise You, the exclusive 45 mix of From Above, World Of Birds and It Came To Me. All four tracks from the sought-after Kjoe Blues EP are also featured, including a blistering, fuzz guitar-spattered version of Jimmy Reeds Aint That Loving You Babe, and their utterly stoned-out, zoned-out take on Robert Johnson's Ramblin' On My Mind. Beautifully packaged with all the original single sleeve artwork and full liner notes, THE LIFE I LIVE presents Q65 in their prime, making music of a deeply inspired brilliance few bands could ever hope to match. TEE-SET - EMOTION
Original album & artwork from December 1966. Limited Edition 300. Black vinyl 180 grams. 350 grams carton sleeve. Japanese plastic bag. In the mid sixties beat groups got quite popular in the Netherlands. The Motions, Golden Earrings, Outsiders and Q65 manifested themselves in the footsteps of The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Pretty Things. In 1966 a new top band entered the scene, this time from Delft. After the hit singles Early In The Morning and Believe What You Say, songs written by Shocking Blue-guitarist Robbie van Leeuwen, in November 1968 the Tee-Set went into the GTB studio to record an album with all new songs. Stimulated by Harry Knipschild, manager Theo Kuppens and singer Peter Tetteroo, with a voice reminiscent of Stevie Winwood, decided to build Dave Van Ronks Dont Leave Me Here into the party song Dont You Leave. The reactions to the album were phenomenal. The trendy Hitweek wrote: "The Tee-Set album is, in one word, fantastic. With a sound that is solid like a brick house. This is the Nederlanger [Dutch LP] of the year! We do not get enthusiastic very fast, but this album is incredibly good. The Dutch Beat is on a roll." 'Dont You Leave' became the Tee-Sets first top 10 hit. The album was also a great success. Unique in that time: Emotion was also released in Italy. Tee-Set continued. Ma Belle Amie became a worldwide hit, and even landed in the U.S. Top 5. She Likes Weeds was a number one in the Netherlands. The fantastic first album Emotion has now been remastered from the original master tapes for the first time. It sounds better than ever and is available with the original artwork. Enjoy the breakthrough of the Tee-Set.

ZIPPS - KICKS AND CHICKS: EVER STONED
The remaining members of The Moving Strings and The Beat-Town Skifflers formed The Zipps in the autumn of 1965. The band received national attention almost immediately because of their remarkable blend of folk-rock with beat influences. But The Zipps impressed even more when their music evolved to psychedelic, including a colorful, bubbling and mind-expanding light show. It was an awesome experience for mind and body! The fans put up stickers all over the Netherlands, with slogans like: 'Be Stoned, dig The Zipps psychedelic sound. In 2011 The Zipps celebrate their 45th anniversary. The kick-off is this beautiful vinyl album Kicks & Chicks: Ever Stoned, with much unreleased material.
