Now it has been said that, compared to the US, groups in the UK were more likely to be influenced by Vaudeville and learned their licks playing the Chicken in the basket/Working Man Club circuit. I even remember reading somewhere (was it Lester Bangs?) that whilst the US had the Count V, the UK had Freddie & The Dreamers!!!
