For six decades, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF has served as The Original Kids Helping Kids® campaign. In 1950, children across America were inspired to collect coins for UNICEF to aid children abroad enduring the after-effects of World War II.UNICEF works in 150 countries and territories to prevent child mortality by counteracting the effects of extreme poverty, focusing on nutrition, sanitation, clean drinking water, prevention of disease and providing medical care, winning a four star rating from the independent evaluation at Charity Navigator.
Today, that mission is as urgent as ever. 1 billion children live in poverty without adequate food, safe drinking water, health care, shelter and education.
