I put an inordinate amount of Chesterfield Kings on my playlist simply because it seemed important to offer music that in all likelihood is not available otherwise at this site. These recordings have been culled from the early to mid eighties LP's and were only recoverable by transposing them from some old cassette tapes; this explains the substandrd recorded sound of these songs, but it seemed better than not to allow interested persons to listen to them because of their rarity. Actually they sound significantly better on the IPod.
With a few notable exceptions I attempted to insert some of the rarer music, including compilations, that are typically unattainable from the usual sources within our Garage Archives into my playlist for sinilar reasons as mentioned above. I hope most members of this site enjoy these offerings. My only misgiving concerns the limit of 100 songs per person. Perhaps this stipulation might become liberalized in the near future. There is indeed a wealth of recorded material to post including some neo-frat rock. More of this in the future.
I will repeatedly revise this playlist at discreet intervals to enable everyone to listen to as wide a variety of vintage (and not so vintage) Garage sounds as is feasible.
Enjoy. I certainly do.
