  • "... First thing you notice is that there are two guitarists, but no bass. Secondly, they're bloody loud! To many, the obvious comparison musically would be The Jesus and Mary Chain, but I get a strong sense of the NYC No Wave scene filtering through the music..." (Artrocker Magazine - Colin Jackson) "Sleazy, sweaty and feedback-heavy, Glasgow-based garage punk act She's Hit are the perfect soundtrack to those darker days... " (Scotsman, On The Radar - Lisa-Marie Ferla) "... one of the city's most exciting new bands." (Girls Sold Out Blog) "Drawing on the screeching guitar noise of bands like Sonic Youth, while staying true to garage rock D.I.Y. ethics, they gave their crowd little time to gather their thoughts. It truly was a fine act, right down to their casual departure from the stage... A real onslaught." (Bluesbunny Independent Music Reviews - Review Of Grand Old Opry Gig) "... sounding something like a mix between the Jesus and Mary Chain and The Birthday Party but with their own input and sound coming through equally. Live, insane, one of the only bands in glasgow i've seen going all out and putting as much into performance as sound." (Noise Makes Enemies) "Sounding like The Cramps being drowned in a bucket of sludge, She’s Hit will appeal to anyone who likes their music dark and fuzzed up. While the rockabilly punk of The Cramps shines through there’s also the feedback squall of The Jesus and Mary Chain. Like The Horrors, She’s Hit maybe playing garage surf rock but this is surfing on a sea of bones. The Glasgow four piece kicks off with Re:peater. As one guitar fizzes slowly another one plays a couple of high notes, invading your brain in sunlight as lazy drums slouch in for some zombie dancing. The vocals are distorted and mumbled. Straining your ear you may hear words like “disease”. From the Mary Chain to Glasvegas, the west coast of Scotland always does this drawled Velvet Underground music brilliantly. Second song She Slips She Slides picks up the pace with a perkier drum beat and buzz saw feedback while third song Black Transistor Nightmares pushes the goth-factor with lyrics like “cut off your leg”. All very Bauhaus. Final tune Part One is perhaps the best realised. Less intense it has a well played country-sounding guitar free from feedback, a languid vocal that swoons Twilight-style and eventually that all important distorted guitar rage. Black is most certainly back." (Daily Record, Soundcheck - Rick Fulton. Review of our 4 song demo CD) "Smoke. Screeching, wailing guitars. A sonic assault on the senses. She's Hit have just walked in to the stage and let rip. No fanfare for this band. They barely pause between songs leaving no time for any applause. Hell, they barely acknowledge that there is an audience. They are the Jesus and Mary Chain reborn. Super cool in that way that only delinquents can be, She's Hit are the new bad boys in town."
