Das Zombieland scheint doch cooler zu sein, als es uns
George A. Romero in seinen Kultstreifen vorzugaukeln versuchte. Cyco
Sanchez und seine Crew zeichnen in ihrem musikalischen Kosmos jedenfalls
ein weitaus hipperes Bild. Die Zombierocker präsentieren einen
ungekünstelt rotzigen Lo-Fi-Röhrensound, der sich zwischen Psycho- und
Rockabilly sowie Rock’n‘Roll einschwingt und jedem Tollenträger die
Koteletten wegbläst. Songzeilen wie „I`d rather sell my soul, and play
some Rock‘n‘Roll” machen deutlich: Die Jungs meinen es ernst.
Zusätzliches Plus: Für Kreationen wie „Fishing For Zombliments“ oder
auch „Little Miss Sanchez“ gibt’s von uns das Kalauerkrönchen
überreicht.

(Zombieland seems to be cooler than Geroge A. Romero tried to make us believe in his cult flicks. Anyway, Cyco Sanchez and his crew paint a much more hip picture in their musical cosmos. The zombie rockers present an inartifcial, snotty lo-fi tube sound that swings between Psycho- and Rockabilly as well as Rock'n'Roll and blows off the sideburns of each carrier of a quiff. Lines like "I'd rather sell my soul, and play some Rock'n'Roll" make it clear that the boys are serious. Extra plus: Because of creations like "Fishing for Zombliments" or "Little Miss Sanchez" we award them the pun crown.)
By the way: The line is "I'd rather sell my soul THAN play some Rock'n'Roll"...
