Just a quick note for those IPO Liverpool folks who've asked about some of the songs I perform at the Cavern, etc... they are finally up on iTunes (with guests Dave Rave, Ari Shine & Plastic Heroes):

1. Billy Fury, Billy Fury
This track was recorded with Ari Shine (who arranged it) on guitar with Marc Olivier (Plastic Heroes) on bass, percussion, etc at Marc's Holloway studio, not far from Joe Meek's old Holloway Road studio actually. When i first performed this at The Cavern, my band included Kimberley Rew and Alex Cooper from Katrina & The Waves (alas, the live recording we attempted was marred by a big loud buzz).
2. Yesterday & Today
This acoustic version is with Dave Rave on guitar and recorded by Buck Cherry (Modernettes) and Gord Nichols (Pointed Sticks) at Paramount Recorders, Vancouver. This is a song about UK Pirate radio in the 60s and the DJs who lived onboard, prisoners of rock so they could liberate rock.
3. People That Love Forgot (live in Liverpool)
Recorded live in Liverpool with Ari Shine (vocals/lead guitar), Dave Rave (bg vocals/rhythm guitar) and Mark Gruft on drums. Look for the freestyle Liverpool beatnik rap in the middle! where I name check as many Liverpool names/landmarks as i could off the top of my head.
