If you’ve been watching this space you know that Red Hex has been touring Europe with Slovenly Recordings’ Bazooka. Tour was a smash and the guys are now back in Tacoma. While they were gone the Shoulda Known 7” received heaps of accolades. We couldn’t be more excited for their success.
The weird twist of fate that enabled Red Hex to tour Europe was an unfortunate hit and run accident involving Paint Fumes’ Elijah Von Cramon. Its a weird to know that something awful happened to one person helped something good happen for Red Hex.
We’re excited to see the North Carolina music scene rally to help Elijah out. Lauren Reynolds from Durham, NC’s DiY show space Chateau Moby Dick has organized LIJApalooza, a two night festival at Raleigh’s Slim’s this weekend. The event features a ton of bands and DJs on Friday and Saturday night. She also helped to organize a digital benefit album titled WASTE OF TIME, featuring many friends of Elijah covering Paint Fumes tunes.
Negative Fun Records and Red Hex are getting in on the action. For the next two weeks we have set the digital version of the Shoulda Known EP to “Pay what you want” on our Bandcamp page.
