Ok so i'm trying to locate copies of cds of these bands : Kenny & the Kasuals,The Gruesomes (bought a cd off Ebay person decided to never send me it, THANKS!), The Daily Flash, Richard The Young Lions, The Misunderstood, The Sparkles.
I've fallen head over heels for the late Tim Buckley and Love with Arthur Lee particularly the song "Signed D.C."
I've been working everyday for two hours at this dumb art festival where people dress up like a painting and people pay 90$ for a ticket for a two-hour show for this. I usher people, every night. Oh yeah, I'm currently getting stalked/consistently bothered by an unattractive, disgusting overweight kid who sexual harrassed me. Such fun.
Complaint. For some reason I've noticed people's perceptions on what is 1960's clothing seems to be WAY off. (This is where I live BTW). I mean, I have a mod haircut, religiously wear tights, boots and mini-dresses of 60's orgin and in return of course (not saying I care), I get stared at by people where I live and stand out. But what is just botehring me a little, is that for example, a girl who Iw as talking to described her friends as "dressed like their from the 60s" when her friends dress in current-modern day fashion clothing, and wear sundresses and basically hipster apparel. Uh.. another girl who didn't agree that I was stared at and treated differently for my clothing choices when Iw as in the south, descriebd herself as always in "60s clothing" when in her photos she was dressed in basic catalog clothing.
I don't get it, why do people say they dress 60s when they don't? Are they just wannabes like the people who say they're Vegan but really aren't? Maybe both are alike (veganism and dressing from a different era) both take a lot to pull off and sacrifice. With Veganism it's comittment and refusual towards temptation, while with the clothing, it's the abiltiy to not really become bothered by people's reactions or treatment towards the way you are dressed, and taking time out to look hard and long for particular clothing.
Hmm...
