  • Whilst browsing the web I found out that a charming song from French former Miss Age tendre Elsa Leroy (Who can be admired here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=gF8Fey0qNDg)was a cover. The original was of the Beau Brummels: "Just a little".

Warpaint from the Brook Brothers was a cover from Barry Mann the writer of the song. Les Chats Sauvages then recorded "Tu peins ton visage" (you paint your face) which was then a cover from a cover. I like the speeded up version from The Wild Cats with the crisp sound better.
I guess I'm ambivalent in these things. The originals are great but the French versions are a league on their own.
I'm also not sure if music like this could be categorized as Garagepunk.
But hey! Who's listening here then?
    Anyone?!
