When this came out it was like, "Wow, David Lynch is doing a movie in COLOR!" Whoah! The deleted scenes are good enough that most of them should have stayed in the movie, even though it would have made it 3 hours long (which was de rigour by the mid-90's anyway) There's a blues guy in a bar where Frank hangs out surrounded by ugly topless women. Also some backstory with Jeffrey Baumont at college where he has a hot girlfriend and has to drop out of school because of his Dad's medical bills and some intense phone conversations as he desperately tries to keep the relationship alive and she dumps him. There's a LOT more of the crazy aunt and Laura Dern's arsehole jock boyfriend Mike. There's more detail of the Slow Club where one of the acts is a dog eating dog food on stage under a neon rabbit. When the dog starts to finish the audience applauds. Also there is a really bad comedian accompanied by a band of old guys playing "Beautiful Dreamer" (did David Lynch not want to pay for the rights?) who bears an uncanny resemblence to Jack Black. There's more spying on Frank and Dorothy Valens chucks a red shoe off the top of the apartment building.
