I got called back to work, so the vast ocean of free time has shrunken into a puddle.
Anyone interested in a real movie mag like PSYCHOTRONIC VIDEO in PDF format please contact me to let me know of your interest. If enough people want it I'll put out a monthly (or as often as I can) mag which you can print out and read on the crapper, on the subway or anywhere.
Musicwise, I know I'll get in a lot of trouble for saying this and I can hear the cries of "sellout!" already, but I've really been enjoying the hell out of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs ITS A BLITZ. They seem to have gone into a new stage of their lives from gutter no-wave to getting a little bit older and glamming it up a bit, kind of like Siouxie and Banshees did on that album where she's got the pink dress on the cover. It makes sense. I don't live on Old Milwaukee and the Taco Bell 69 cent menu anymore and I actually iron my shirts and know what a bed skirt is today.
That and I'm catching up on a lot of films that have already been reviewed in THE PSYCHOTRONIC ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FILM (1982) and THE PSYCHOTRONIC VIDEO GUIDE (1995) both by Michael Weldon. These volumes are like the Old and New Testaments of film. So read those. The purpose of this blog is to break new ground with Psychotronic movies, but just rehash stuff you may have already heard of.
