Troy Moon wrote a nice piece for the Sunday edition of the
Pensacola News-Journal about the local music scene of the '60s, inspired by the most recent episode of Florida Rocks Again!,
"Jeff's Panhandle Party Platter."
Pictured above is the Sandpipers, backed up by Daytona Beach legends the Allman Joys at the Sahara Club in 1966. Charlyne Kilpatrick of the Sandpipers remembers that the Allmans were "skinny and ugly."
