    Witt Drawls, guitarist for the garage punk band the M80's past away in 2005. May he be forever remembered for his 20 years of contributions to Virginia Rock & Roll Music. I've uploaded a 1 hour mp3 of some of his music. Below are some notes I made about the songs:

    1) Born Loser - Pre-M80's band called the Acadoos. Lineup was Witt, me and Eddie with a guy named John Barrett on the drums. Recorded in the summer of 1987 at The Corner (38th & Hampton Blvd.)

    2) Records Never Lie - An Original Written By Witt & Eddie from the same show as the previous track.

    3) Feel My Pride - A Lost M80's original recorded on a four track in Rusty's Attic on Virginia Ave. Witt played the farfisa track. Probably 1989 or so.

    4) Dying Day - Another lost M80s original recorded at the same time as track 3.

    5) 57 Nomad - The M80s track from the Estrus Gearbox 7" box set comp. Released in 1991.


    6) Sandra Gean - Taken from the M80s full length LP "In A Fury". Released on Get Hip Records in 1992.


    7) American Ruse - The Revolvers was just the M80s with Serge (later of Candy Snatchers Fame) filling in on drums. We learned a bunch of covers of songs we liked for kicks and the gigs were so successful we later went into Mid-Ease Studios and cut a five song demo. Probably 1992.

    8) Coming Home Virginia - One of my goofy originals from the Revolvers sessions graced by Wiit's guitar playing. Eddie wrote the words and sang, serge played drums.

    12) Cold December Night - One of Witt's song recorded at Mid-Ease in 1992. I played bass, Serge played Drums, Randy Melton played Keys.

    13) Been Mistreated - Witt, Rob and Serge - Mid-Ease Studio 1992. An early incarnation of what would become Big Bobby & The Nightcaps 2 years later. Lyrics were written By Earl Riley, Marty Jones Played the Harmonica.

    14) There Ain't No Way - Witt, Me & Serge - Mid-Ease Studio 1992

    15) Everything Is Wrong - Witt, Me & Serge - Mid-Ease Studio 1992 - Witt does his best Jeff Beck Yardbirds solo on this one.

    16) Alcoholic Suicide - Big Bobby & the Nightcaps- Me & Witt wrote this one the week our good friend Kevin "KAVE" Kerr died. It was Released in 1998 on Black Lung Records. A Classic destined to become an anthem for a lost generation.
