I have been doing plenty of late night research and finding some really cool kinda fucked up bands out there on planet earth. There’s so much great stuff out there it’s unbelievable. And if it’s released on vinyl we’re gonna have it here.
There are some great release that I don’t have here as well and would love to share these discoveries that I have found along the way. NEON PISS - S/T LP: Great Melodic Punk Rock with a Wipers and even Stiff Little Fingers feel.
MOTHER’S CHILDREN - That’s Who! Great power pop band from Canada, great songs GIUDA - Racey Roller LP: Pronounced JUDA. These guys are gonna get big. One of the best debut releases in a long time. The bubble will burst soon. They have fans in Turbonegro, Tesco Vee, Phil King, and Robin Wills. This LP is another essential for any lover of a great time.
THE SHRINE - Featherheads 7”: Not much to say about these cats music but killer tracks from great blokes.
SHARP OBJECTS - S/T LP: Awesome Punk Rock. Featuring members from The Bodies and Stitches. Not a dud track on this one.
NEIGHBORHOOD BRATS - S/T 12” EP: Great female/male punk rock band.
GESTAPO KHAZI - S/T LP: Some messed lo fi Wipers, Gun Club thing going on.
HELLBENDERS - 'Pop Rock Suicide' LP: Pure rock n roll action. Very much like The Humpers. These guys are balls to the wall rock action.
PUFFBALL - 'Solid State (Eight Track) 10": Killer stuff in the Nashville Pussy way
ROCKET REDUCERS - S/T LP: Really cool record with a New Bomb Turks, Pagans feel.
CELLOS - Bomb Shelter LP: Great debut. New album coming soon exclusive to Conquest Of Noise. Very AMREP sounding and has found some fans in the band scene here after a bit of introducing. Fans of Godheadsilo, Jesus Lizard, Unsane, etc will dig these guys.
TRMRS - Sea Things LP; pronounced TREMORS. Mess up lo fi fuzzed out garage pop.
SPIDER FEVER - S/T LP with download: Mario from OFF!, RFTC, EARTHLESS. Killer debut LP with a very Aussie feels to it. Some of this reminds me of BORED!, The Onyas, Celibate Rifles, Guttersnipes and a little of Husker Du.
WHITE FACES - S/T LP with bonus 7”: Another great debut of power pop punk rock. I think these guys have a Didjits record in their collection.
BIZARROS - Complete Collection 1976 – 1980 DBL LP with download: Reissue of everything and more from this band from Akron the home of Devo. Fans of Television and Richard Hell and the Voidoids will dig this.
MARVELOUS DARLINGS – Single Life LP; This is great power pop. I hear The Replacements, The Archers Of Loaf, Flop etc etc. This is an absolute killer comp of their 7” releases long out of print. Features Ben Cook of FUCKED UP. A MUST HAVE.
TERRIBLE FEELINGS - Shadows LP; Kind of dark Patti Smith post punk rock from Sweden. A really great debut album. I can’t feel but hear everything from Murder City Devils, The Wipers and even the BellRays. Another essential album to add to your collection.
RED DONS – They are all great. Can’t fault any of their releases.
CAREER SUICIDE – Two great releases from another of Canada’s finest. 80’s Hermosa Beach hardcore punk rock style. Bitchin records with bitchin artwork. Feature two members of FUCKED UP.
THE FADEAWAYS – Raw, Wild & Wretched LP; Great garage punk rock. Fans of The Mummies, Teengenerate, Supercharge, Sugar Shack will dig this fuzzed out trash from Tokyo.
