Expect the nihilistic kraut-rock garage-punk relentless sprang-banjo thundering of The Monks with a lady-like tinge.

Brain Washington: BRAIN WASHINGTON play raw ‘n’ atonal freaked ‘n’ f**ked-up heads-down wig-flipped beatnik-boogie brew. Imagine Sonic Youth wrestling The Banana spilts – its fun fuzz! The sound is like something cooked up by a shit-faced coming together of Hawkwind, MC5 and The Butholes. A primitive wah-wah effects-laden sonic flashback liberally festooned with all manner of tripping-psyche-induced-beatnik-boogie.
Review of 7” single L.S.D. / Bad Acid
“Bad Acid’ is your sumptuously shimmering sub three minute slice of shade-wearing two chord goo, that in its ridiculously brief passage of time manages to nod towards classic era Detroit garage and the flamboyance of glam T-Rex, and yet somehow cleverly shoehorns between them elements of late 60’s white-out-psych tastily dusted and scratched by some neat slabs of primal mid 60’s beat groove. Did we also mention it’s a bit horny – well it is in a kind of wasted ‘kool thing’ era Sonic Youth face-off with Mudhoney type way. Essential in case you were wondering.””
