Their set features a mixture of rock n roll, rockabilly, surf, rhythm n blues, beat and garage.The band is led by the ubiquitous Sir Bald Diddley on guitar and lead vocals. Sir Bald has been described as 'Britain's string king' in reference to his wild and fiery guitar style, influenced by Bo Diddley, Link Wray, Chuck Berry, Dick Dale and the like, and 'Ricky Nelson gone very wrong' with regards to his singing! He is a man with over 500 song writing credits to his name and some very precarious stage antics, including the infamous 'P-Bug' which involves much rolling around on the floor during guitar solos! Sir Bald first came to prominence as Europe's leading light in the surf revival of the 90's. He has been playing, writing and recording in a plethora of bands ever since.Bruce 'Bash' Brand (drums) is a cult hero to legions of garage, punk, beat and rock 'n' roll musicians the world over, having been a member of such iconic happenings as thee Milkshakes, Headcoats, Pop Rivets, Billy Childish, Holly Golightly and the Masonics. Bruce also has played with the Pretty Things, Downliner Sect, Wreckless Eric, Mungo Jerry and managed to make two albums with Link Wray along the way!'Slap Happy' Al Gare (bass) has is one of Britain's nay the world's finest upright bass players. He has played in many a band and worked with many a legend; including stints with King Pleasure & the Biscuit Boys, Imelda May, Jeff Beck, Van Morrison, Ron Wood, Big Town Playboys, Jimmy McCracklin, Big Jay McNeeley, Wanda Jackson, Clarence "Frogman" Henry, Frankie Ford, Lazy Lester, Big Al Downing, Billy Lee Riley, Freddie Cannon, NickCurran, Warren Storm, Little Willie Littlefield and Young Jessie!!!!Hipbone Slim and the Kneetremblers have five albums released, including four on Voodoo Rhythm Records, all the great critical acclaim and all receiving considerable radio airplay. The have also recently released a joint album with Swiss combat Cajun kings Mama Rosin. Mark Lamarr regularly plays their music and has also featured the band live in session.Never short of new ideas, the band have three more albums on the way, and play a set of nearly entirely original compositions. Their recordings have regularly been described as 'scarily authentic' and live shows 'totally bonkers'! They are certainly very raucous and entertaining occasions! The band have toured extensively throughout Europe, with more dates across the continent over the coming year.
