Canadian Garagepunk Sandwich
Radio What Wave and The Freakout are doing a double header radio special of all Canadian garagepunk on Thursday Jan 24th on CHRW FM outta sleepy London Ontario.
Radio What Wave goes to bat first, in the 6PM slot, playing Canadian garagepunk from the 80's right up to today. You might just hear combos like The Gruesomes, The Fiends, 10 Commandments, The noble Savages and lots more.
Then The Freakout goes to bat at 7:30PM, playing all your fave Canadian garagepunk from the 60's, back where it all began. You might just hear combos like The Ugly Ducklings, It's All Meat, The Great Scots and many others.
That adds up to two and a half hours of all Canadian garagepunk, more than enough for a sandwich. A big meaty sandwich with lots of ketchup!

And the reason that we're doing this, there's a huge event going on the next evening at This Ain't Hollywood in Hamilton, Ontario called Kissin' The Carpet. Kissin' The Carpet will be a monthly garagepunk party and this will be the first of hopefully many! Opening night features a garage sale starting at 8PM and then the bands hit the stage at 9PM.
