Yes, it is a bit ghoulish... but in this case, it seems rather appropriate, somehow... I mean, it is LUX INTERIOR we're talking about here, right? That guy practically invented ghoulish, and he wasn't even Hungarian!
Anyways, the lowbrow, trashy, rock'n'roll type hijinx shall include the following:
A DJ Set by the incredible
HOWIE PYRO,
who has one of the best collections there is of all those old 7" singles that the CRAMPS made a career out of covering and a hobby out of collecting...
A CRAMPS tribute thing, featuring all of your favorite random people, mainly whoever's there, playing your favorite CRAMPS tunes (to the best of their no doubt limited abilities, said limits decreasing as the night wears on...)
Actual bands, such as:
THEE SURRENDERS (remember them from like 3 weeks ago?)
WITCHDICK (great name...)
and THEE BLASTIING COMPANY (known colloquially as "The Gypsies" around the Silver Lake Area...)
Also, there's going to be CRAMPS video galore, including thee infamous 1979 (is that when it was? Duh, I don't remember so good...) NAPA STATE MENTAL HOSPITAL show!
PLUS: there's thee rest ov thee DING-A-LING DISCIPLIES OV SATAN:
DJs PRICKLE, QUINN, MICKIE, ETC!!
MC/ un-sound sound guy DON BOLLES (still alive, for some reason...)
and Bar-istas NO-RA and MINGY, serving up the cheap suds all into the night...
