This year record store falls on Sat April 21st. It's a great day to visit one of your favourite vinyl vendors and pick up some records to enjoy on the old hi-fi at home.
And after a day at the stores shopping for real music, what better way to spend the evening than listening and dancing to some live music being played by some of the finest combos around.
From Toronto, we've got one of the hottest soul/mod/garage combos around. They've played London once prior, and people are still talking about that lone appearance. If you dig The Spencer Davis Group meets Booker T, than get your dancing shoes on and get ready for a party!
From Montreal, Ricochet Sound (home of The Gruesomes) recording artists Lightbulb Alley are coming back to London to show the youngun's what rock'n'roll meets garage is all about. Loud and dirty guitars, snotty vocals, pounding bass and smashing drums that'll put a grin on your noggin' and a tap in your toe!
Windsor's mighty duo finally get to do a proper show here in London and they're gonna double the action this time. Catch them at 4PM at Grooves Records and once again in the evening as these kids will throw out all the stops and leave you with your mouth hanging open! You've been warned!!
This will be the first ever show by Hamilton's The noble Savages who take the 60's garagepunk sound and make it their own. You might recognize a couple of these characters once they hit the stage, and there might even be a former Frankenstein 5 member amongst them!
Sock-it-to-me Soul, tons of Rock AND Roll...there's no reason to miss this show
