COME SAY HELLO TO 2013 WITH:
CUDZOO & THE FAGGETTES
http://www.facebook.com/CudzooFaggettes
Why should you see Cudzoo & The Faggettes? Because they totally rule. You don't have to take my word for it. Read these reviews from Razorcake Magazine. They loved it so much that they gave it two reviews.
"Through the decades of rock’n’roll, there have been countless songs about living hard with the help of booze and multiple outrageous sexcapades, primarily written by the male populous. Until now. This NYC-based outfit is comprised with a triple-whammy of super singin’ gals—E-Bomb, Mame-Town, and J-Train—and their four fabulous Faggettes holding down the rhythm section, guitar, and keys (quite fuckin’ nicely, I might add). Without at all being derivative, C&TF celebrate the spirit of singing groups like The Shangri-Las and The Ronettes coupled with the rollicking purr of bands like Throw Rag, Mad Daddys, and the Ramones. This is the band that Phil Spector would literally have gone apeshit over, had they been on the scene back then some fifty years ago. But lucky you, you derelict rock’n’roller you, you get to hear them NOW. “You Taste like Intervention,” “The Toxic Shock,” “New York Girls,” “Daddy Issues”—this rekkid is packed to the gills with tunes laced with incredibly catchy hooks, sang with the filthiest of lyrics guaranteed to make even the creepiest of creeps smirk. Rock out with your cock/rack out, indeed! One of my fave albums this year. I am very much looking forward to eventually catching C&TF live." –Designated Dale
"Okay, it’s not that hard to, like, pop a boner over an all-girl band ((if it is, kindly consult the Post-T-Vac™ commercials they run during Mission: Impossible late at night)); Cudzoo & The Faggettes, however, are possibly the first all-girl band with whom i’ve ever fallen head over heels in L-U-V luv. Imagine, if you would, taking an in-tune and amazingly perverse Shannon & The Clams, then coupling that particular soup base with the pro-like songwriting, musicianship and production of bands like the Ettes or the Like, whilst bringing hitherto-unglimpsed concepts like taking someone’s dried-up umbilical nub, sticking it in their vagina, incubating it for nine long months, raising it for eighteen years, then fucking the shit out of them all over again to the forefront of mankind’s collective consciousness. This shit is so fucking genius i’m scared to play the CD a second time, lest i swoon or poop fatally. These are the kind of girls who kill Phil Spector first. If you do not own this you are a fucking fucktard. The end. BEST SONG: “Daddy Issues” BEST SONG TITLE: “You Taste Like Intervention,” although “Machine Gun My Poon” does have a certain allure to it. FANTASTIC AMAZING TRIVIA FACT: Approved by the Whiskey Fart Authority!" –Rev. Norb

BEST OF LUCK TO YOU. WE'RE HOPING A NORTON BENEFIT WILL BE HAPPENING , SOON , IN CHICAGO , BUT , I DON'T THINK THE GROUNDWORK HAS BEEN LAID OUT YET, AND I DON'T KNOW WHO'LL ARRANGE IT , IF AND WHEN IT COMES AROUND. JOHN.
We are throwing a benefit show for the greatest rock n' roll label in the world Norton records. Their warehouse was flooded during the hurricane as most of you probably know and they need your help bad!

click here http://www.facebook.com/events/166932416782861/ to rsvp to the event on Facebook if you are into that sort of thing.
Looking forward to this one! The last time I played Charleston, the bass player threw all of his possessions in the ocean. Mind you, this was with a different band, but it'll probably still get a bit weird.
Great show btw. I had no idea KK & BBQ were so popular. The people seemed to go mad for them.
HUH?!!! WHA?!!!! Well , you guys have a good time. Tell Craig , Chicago is'nt far away. He knows that. He also knows this onetime center of the Garage Universe can't support a good festival , or more than a very random appearance by an actual classic Garage Band , like ? and The Mysterians , who drew about 40 people the last two shows where there was a cover charge.
See you there.
Great lineup. Looking forward to it!

Seven inch records clean infinitely faster than the LPs that we’ve done at the two Brooklyn Bowl Wash-A-Thons but there are a lot of them! Bring along some rolls of paper towels and a pair of plastic gloves and let's give the wax a rubdown! Norton's seven inchers got soaked by Sandy and all the boss picture sleeves are now history. Help us dip n' dry these sevens back into action- come on over and don't forget the elbow grease! Plenty of wild 45s will be spun all night long!
This Saturday at PJ's Lager House, Detroit MI.

That sounds awesome - shoot me a message with some open dates that are good for you after the New Year and we'll put something together!
Greg: Let's work on a show trade soon!! We'd love to have you down in Philly.
For sure! Otto's is great - we just set a date with them ourselves after the new year.
Garagepunknyc.com has a great venue list (although some have unfortunately closed down).
Our favorites have been Trash Bar, The Gutter, and Don Pedro but a lot of the venues in Brooklyn are good for garage stuff. Legion, Public Assembly, The Rock Shop, The Bell House, etc.
If you guys are ever looking to play up here, let me know. We are booking tons of shows and we'd love to have you up!
We... The Scovilles, that is... are hoping to head to NYC early in the New Year. We have some tentative dates at Otto's we're looking at. If you know anywhere else that's garage-friendly, we're definitely open to suggestion.
I wish I was in Baltimore! Are you heading up to NYC anytime soon?
Finals Stents show of 2012!!!
Joining Charm City's finest are Philadelphia's Scovilles --- celebrating the release of their debut EP.
Come out to Mum's for a night of garage/surf/rock/roll/and other stuff. BTW - Santa is a Scovilles fan, miss the show and you can expect nothing for Christmas!
Gonn will perform Sunday, December 2, at Siberia, 2227 St. Claude Ave. in New Orleans.
Show at 10 p.m.; tickets $8.
