The New York Times rated Cascade’s Kriek the No. 1 sour beer in America. That isn’t blasphemy, but we think they simply weren’t around when Vlad was on tap. Sour beer fans vacillate on their favorite draw of alchemy from sourmaster Ron Gansberg, but we like Vlad’s interplay of strong and spiced blonde ales matured in choice barrels.

I just finished this book, and I would highly recommend it to any glam rock fans around here.  It is a VERY detailed look at the glam rock era, and it mentions a bunch of bands that I never even heard of.

Can't-stop-talking: If you're looking for a somewhat challenging author, try Tim Powers. He's kinda the Quentin Tarantino of SF/Fantasy. He takes historical facts and put them in a completely new context, but before that he drops you into the middle of the story and feeds you the beginning bit-by-bit. My favorite of his is Declare, which concerns a Cold War spy (no spoilers!), but I've enjoyed everything by this guy.

Oh, yeah, if anyone is into Philip K. Dick, his biography Divine Invasions, A Life of Philip K. Dickis at least as fascinating as anything in his novels. Also, for fans of the Blade Runner movie, the book about the making of the film,

Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner, by
Paul M. Sammon is too cool, and shows just how complex the making of an adaptation is.

Here's the Trophy 500's Big Brother....we call him "Smokie" (for obvious reasons) 1979 Bonneville 750 ! Love those twisted pipes with the tiny baffles inside! Also on a slow boat keeping little sister company :-P mr. mamoux kicks him over....

Hey Everybody...yo' Professor was in New York in October playing some shows (Hank's Saloon, Rodeo Bar) and I picked up this little gem...it's on a slow boat to Europe now and I is looking forward to the warm weather! Anywho, here's a little video of mr. mamoux kicking it over...BOO!

love that 63, it looks very original, sadly mine is looking a little sick at the moment, fell off it a couple of weeks ago, black ice on the car park at work, nothing major just took the shine off her a bit. 

Damn, that Super is CLEAN! Love that cheerful yellow paint job.

Here's my 1963 Allstate. She's a three-speed 125cc.

And this is my 1978 Vespa P200. She's my fair-weather daily driver!

And my old reliable 2006 Genuine Buddy 125. No, she's not a Vespa, but I personally have put over 14k miles on her in five years, so there's that.

I saw the post and I got a little excited. Then I saw Zorch and I know you are on the other side of an ocean. My brother had one like that in the early 70's only it was a single cylender, I don't remember the model number. I got it when he died and had it until about 1990. It broke my heart to sell, as well as my 1946 Indian. Poverty and lack of storage got the best of me. I probably couldn't pay for yours anyway. I just wanted to let you know that I share your pain. The pics are great, it looks beautiful. Good luck.

I used to watch Joe Bob when he was doing his show on cable channel TNT, "Monstervision" I think it was called. I'm interested in purchasing some of the dvds he's done commentary on like the original "I Spit On Your Grave" among others. I really enjoyed watching Bruce Dern's show on the formerly known as "Speedvision" cable network when they had "Lost Drive-In" on Friday and Saturday nights, too. Lots of good choices you mentioned there, John, and matter of fact, I think I'm one of the only people that enjoyed "Frogs" so much, I had to own it.
