Bio
I've been writing music and film reviews since 1982, collect original comic book art, and haven't been to the barber since 1975.
Favorite Music
13th Floor Elevators, Roky Erikson, The Soft Sounds For Gentle People comp series, Mission of Burma, Nick Cave, The Gun Club, Iggy Pop, Siouxsie and the Banshees, selected David Bowie (omit everything between Scary Monsters and Outside.1), Stereolab, Brian Eno, Univers Zero, psychedelia, late 60s-early-70s Italian soundtracks and lounge music, spy movie themes.
Favorite Movies
Ever-shifting cinematic obsessions span SF & horror cult movies, animation, German silent movies such as The Cabinet of Dr. Calinet (1919), Murnau's Nosferatu and Faust, Der Golem (1920), Metropolis (1926), film noir, Sam Fuller, and Italian horror maestro Mario Bava. Adaptation, Donnie Darko, Nightmare Before Christmas, Bedazzled (original version), Bad Girls Go to Hell, A Simple Plan. Gladly lacking cable or even an antenna, I groove on DVD box sets of black and white shows like Perry Mason, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, and The Fugitive.
