Bio
Punk philosopher and Q65 biographer Pim Scheelings, has been active as a popmusician and cartoonist for about 30 years.
A few bands in wich he starred are: Minny Pops, Honger, Crosspex, Vitaal and TV Babys. He played with wellknown names as Ro Krom (Kraak & Smaak), Arnold Smits (Raggende Manne), Pepe Fischer (Beatcream), Maarten Dekker (Dollybirds) and recorded with Manchester Factory legend Martin Hannet.
As a cartoonist he publiced several comicbooks and worked for Algemeen Dagblad, Opscene, Uitgaanskrant Luna and the Haarlems Dagblad. In the last 10 years we saw Pim take on a new career as a writer of underground books in the tradition of Kerouac and Jan Cremer.
After “Mijn Vader” (1999) and “Zout” (2004), “RotBoek,” a compilation of punkrock stories was published in 2008 by the Henk de Tank foundation.
Currently Pim has just finished a biography about Dutch beat legends Q65. Available from 2009 nov. 13th at www.bol.com
