CHILDISH, BILLY -& SEXTON MING- - DUNG BEETLE ROLLS AGAIN
Mister Childish (Buff Medways/Headcoats/Milkshakes) and Mister Ming (Diamond Gussets/Tasty Ones/TV Personalities) have been writing poetry, playing music and painting pictures together since 1979 when they formed Phyroid Press. Their work together, documented by several LPs and 25 small press publications, is inspired by the early DaDaists, Edward Lear, Captain Beefheart and the literature of the absurd. The Guardian described their material as "An authentic output of creative play." Billy and Sexton describe it as "A smoking chimney stack that falls over and crushes your wife and kids." Curiously both are true. This is their latest and final album, which follows on nicely from their last album 'Here Come The Fleece Geese' ten years ago in 2002. Similar in style to the last one, it reminds us of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore at their most diverse.

    SEA-DERS - THE SEA-DERS
This specially-priced Lion Productions LP edition contains all known grooving and infectious Middle Eastern inflected rock/beat tracks from the Sea-ders (or Cedars, depending on which 45 label you look at), Lebanon's top musical export to the world. Eight dynamic tracks, with driving rhythms, blazing electric bouzouki (or oud?), recorded between 1966-1968. Fantastic! Many groups have used elements of Eastern music to add mystery and exotica to their sound; the Sea-ders didn't flirt with foreign culture-they tapped right into the source. Decca Records contacted the group and offered them a record deal in the UK. Well, that didn't pan out, making the band's EP a very rare item indeed, despite being one of the most exciting releases of the era. Faced with studio bills from Decca, they sold their instruments and equipment and moved back to Beirut, leaving this perfect microcosm of exotic '60s pop in their wake. Liner notes by Mike Stax (Ugly Things Magazine). Limited pressing of only 500 copies. This time around, vinyl is mastered at 45 RPM, for maximum fidelity. The Sea-ders would only record eight tracks, but what amazing tracks they are! "As Record Collector magazine once noted, the Sea-Ders took a decidedly different tack when approaching this thing that is rock & roll. Instead of spiraling into over the top eastern-flavored otherness (like so many of their peers at the time) the Sea-Ders, having landed in London and signed to Decca in 1967, embraced a more primal, early Kinks-esque, approach to their songwriting. Coming from Beirut their take on the genre was already unique with succinct flourishes of psych and freakbeat coupled with their inherent cultural influences. Like so many non-western takes on the genre, the end result is a curious and unexpected gem." -Aquarium Drinkard. "They effortlessly combine hookah-smoked Middle-Eastern guitar lines & hand drum beats with flawless London pop-psych production, and the effect is decidedly heady." -Weirdo Records.

SHADY & THE VAMP - AS WE TOLD YOU EARLIER (10")
With REATARDS-rippers, BLACK LIPS-shingalings and FATALS-distortion SHADY & THE VAMP puts the deranged teenage youth into wild ecstasy and introduces them to new dances with no names. Slowing down the rhythm while singing in HUNX- and SHANGRI-LAS-tradition to the broken hearted, the fast pogo-chaos changes into kissing lovebirds, lying on dirty beer-floors: Hands get lost, couples become sextets and sometimes a moustache meets a moustache. In 2009 Rickey Rocket & Doc Julius recorded three songs and let them get anonymously into their local garage promoter and played their first concert as "closing-band" for the legendary Englishmen-band THE MASONICS and impressed garage-punk fathers Bruce HEADCOATS Brand and Mickey MILKSHAKES Hampshire: "I don't think they can keep that high energy very long". Since then their killer-song repertoire is still growing ad infinitum. They brought NOBUNNY to cut his feet by shards of beer glasses, they let forget the audience on a dirty saturday night that the main act THE MAGNETIX was missing, KING AUTOMATIC dreams since the two shows he shared with them of a whole band, they gave THE MONSTERS the shivers at their record release party and they also showed JACK OF HEART how to dress properly. In late 2010 SHADY & THE VAMP released their super limited 9-song cassette (so limited, not even numbered) on HIGH TIME records, which was followed in mid 2011 by their 7" Baby, I'm gonna make you mine on HIGH TIME/MONAVALE. It's garage-punk in the way it should sound in this decade. Garage-punk loved by boys and adored by girls. In 2012 they went to Toulouse. During a weekend at LOSPIDERs studio they recorded a couple of songs. The result is a psyched silk-screen printed 10" on Moi J'Connais Records!

    ADAMYK, STEVE -BAND- - THIRD
The third long player from Canada's Steve Adamyk Band. Aggressive garage-pop-punk sounds, keeping it tight and far from overproduced. The formula is simple, no one is trying to re-invent the wheel. With that said, they're totally staying clear of cheese and cliches. Includes free download.

    BITERS - BITERS

Includes a bonus CD, new artwork, remastered sound and a new running order of the tracks! Features ' I Ain't No Dreamer', ' So Cheap, So Deadly', 'Anymore', 'Hang Around' and 'Beat Me'.

BURGESS, SONNY - LIVE AT SUN STUDIOS
Rockabilly Hall of Fame inductee and founding member of The Pacers, Sonny Burgess, performs live in the studios that Elvis built, Sun Studios! FATAL FIGURES - CATERWAUL
On this album the band somewhat moves away from the garage rock horror sound for which they've become known. Instead 'Caterwaul' embraces more of a punk'n'roll sound in the vein of Pussy Galore, Cramps, or The Jesus & Mary Chain's first record 'Psychocandy'.

FOWLEY, KIM - KING OF CREEPS: RARE TREASURES FROM THE VAULT
..'59-63'. The third volume of brain spraining early unheralded, underworshipped unknown Kim Fowley productions and manipulations arrives as a soundtrack distraction to his upcoming hip pocket paperback 'LORD OF GARBAGE' from Kicks Books. Kim's always stirring the pot and this time he heaves the boiling stew right into the smug mugs of rock critics and musicologists with a third full-on frantic footlong fricassee guaranteed to cause the listener to rearrange the furniture... and other things! ZANE WOOD AND THE DOMINION - Got Me Stupid / KIM FOWLEY - Outrageous Radio Spot

    HOLLYWOOD - LOVE CHILD
Hollywood plays banging dirty rock'n'roll, full of four on the floor sneering energy. They sound like a rowdy version of Flamin Groovies' played at Descendents speed. The songs on 'Love Child' swerve through noisy punk, furious hopped up garage and glam inspired fuzz riffs, and it's certainly not an LP filled with the same boring power chords over and over again.

INDIAN WARS - SONGS FROM THE NORTH
On their first album cover they had a horse, this one is sporting a wooden duck. You may ask if there is some kind of plan behind all of this. Well, of course not. Or maybe that's the plan. One thing is for sure, the plan certainly includes sticking together to write, play and record outstanding songs and release records on small labels like BACHELOR. This here is the third slab of vinyl on that label. The music is quite diverse, you can take a journey through roots country, rock'n'roll and garage punk-tinged songs, but it still sounds very homogenous in its entirety. Yeah, its only blah blah, but how can someone write about this great full length without starting to stutter?! SO JUST LISTEN FOR YOURSELF!

KING, REG - LOOKING FOR A DREAM
After re-releasing the official 'Reg King' album and 'Missing In Action' E.P., several years ago, Circle Records had every intention of releasing another complete album of the former ACTION-vocalist's original material soon afterwards. However, time passes and things often don't work out as planned. It wasn't before late 2010 that all official permissions were granted, and a further six months before restoration and editing was completed. Recorded between Reggie leaving The Action in 1968 and the end of 1969, these songs feature his former bandmates throughout (still trading as The Action without him). With just one exception, the tracks are full-band, not just acoustic sketches as many demo recordings are. Aside from three tracks rescued from unlikely tape sources and an acetate, the majority are in perfect finished master quality. For some reason, all of this material was left aside when the time came for Reggie's 1971 album. In comparison, they are brighter and more uplifting than that record, not hampered by a similar busy/heavy production. The music ranges from the soulful pop of his Action days, shows influences of jazz and just hints at the progressions yet to come. Nothing is overlong and all tracks show just what a tremendous songwriter the man was. This record bridges the gap between The Action's 'Rolled Gold' and Mr. King's official solo record perfectly. If it had been released as a last Action record, or as a first solo album, maybe Reggie's career and the appreciation for his work would have been even bigger. All 12 tracks are totally unreleased in any format. Presented in a half-laminated flipback sleeve with art that uses a treated, previously unpublished picture to striking effect (one of two in the package). Silver/blue labels inspired by the late '60s United Artists ones (done to pre-date his official album). The double-sided, semi-gloss, colour insert includes descriptive appraisal from renowned writer Kevin Pearce, along with the story of how the album came to be.

    LOW CULTURE - SCREENS
Scrappy, melodic garage-punk from Las Cruces, NM. LOW CULTURE features members of the MARKED MEN and SHANG-A-LANG. Produced by Mark Ryan (MARKED MEN/MIND SPIDERS).

MANNING, TERRY -& THE WILD ONES- - EL PASO ROCK, VOL. 7
Legendary producer Terry Manning grew up in El Paso, with his eyes and ears glued on his hero Bobby Fuller. Steeped and stewed in local rock n roll sounds, Terry, and his teenage garage combo The Wild Ones, recorded their version of the burgeoning early '60s Southwest ruckus. Terry came across this lost tape box recently and brought it home to Norton to hitch another piece onto the expanding El Paso rock n roll puzzle. Nortons 'EL PASO ROCK' series is available on LP and CD. Collect them all! Nervous Breakdown / Memphis / Just This Once / Youre In Love / Hey Baby / Sweet Little Sixteen / Boney Maronie / Mathilda /Across The Bay /Forever Christine / Sorry (I Ran All The Way Home) / Patty Baby / Way Down Yonder In New Orleans / The Dog All titles previously unissued

PEACH KELLI POP - PEACH KELLI POP
PEACH KELLI POP began as an experiment for Allie Hanlon. It was a way for the drummer to step away from her kit and try writing songs. In case you don't know, she's the drummer for WHITE WIRES, who have two albums out on Going Gaga/Douchemaster and Dirtnap, toured through Europe and USA. Allie Hanlon always had her own musical outlet. Since 2009, her music has gone from the Ottawa basements and bedrooms where it spawned, to all corners of Canada and the USA. She has toured the USA under the PEACH KELLI POP moniker multiple times, with various friends completing her live band. Hanlon's output is slow: 3 years after the first self-titled album, her second, also self-titled, finally sees the light, and this time around you can hear a distinct improvement in production quality. Both albums were written, performed and recorded entirely by Hanlon, and it is clear she has learned a thing or two since her genuinely amateurish debut.

    RIVERBOAT GAMBLERS - BACKSIDES
Some of the Gamblers' earliest recordings, comp tracks and covers. Their fast sounds and raw recordings capture the energy of their live shows perfectly.
