    CHRONICS - MAKE YOU MOVE
Mid-60's soul and garage rock mix perfectly on the second album by The Chronics from Northern Sweden. On "Make You Move" they take a step further compared to their well-received debut album Soulshaker : More groove, more diversity and more hard-edged sounds at the same time. "Make You Move" is produced by Henrik Kjellberg and Mattias Eklund at Toontrack in Ume who are behind the warm analogue sound on the album. They make all the aspects of The Chronics melt together with great ease: the early Stax/Motown soul groove, smooth female backing vocals, organs, a swingin, hornsection, bongo drums, traces of heroin-era Stones or even Pretty Things like in the bad tempered and gloomy "Tomorrow's News". Diversity is the key word here, from the soul stomping title track over the honky tonk-like ballad "Honey Blue" to the sure-hit-in-a-sane-world "Feel Alright" that announces the spring and leaves you with a smile on your face. And before everything gets all too happy they rip through the tough rocker "Hot Blood Boy" that is also featured in the Norwegian movie Johnny Vang. Tracklist: 1. Whatever You Do, 2. Stick Around 3. Make You Move 4. Honey Blue 5. Feel Alright 6. Don't Keep Me In Line 7. Hot Blood Boy 8. Rewind 9. Rub Off 10. Soulshaker 11. Tomorrows news.

ROYAL BEAT CONSPIRACY - DIG IT!
After two years of exploring new sounds and several European tours under their belt The Royal Beat Conspiracy is back with a new album. These slick cats from Gothenburg in Sweden has redefined themselves and come up with a fresh and vibrant mixture of southern soul and many shades of rock'n'roll and rockabilly that should not disappoint old fans while gaining new followers. When ""Gala Galore"" was released to massive rave reviews in Sweden and beyond in 2000 it was hailed for the unique blend of pop, garage, southern soul, rockabilly and even disco as in their first radiohit ""Disco Boy"". ""Dig It"" is more focused, shorter and to the point. 10 songs in 33 minutes produced by Torsten Larsson who also produced ""Gala Galore"" and has worked with Soundtrack Of Our Lives and many others. What also separates the two albums is the more permanent addition of organ player Carl Stintzing who adds a wide range of sounds and cunning details to the songs making The Royal Beat Conspiracy sound like modern soul music with a slight psych flavour.
