NEW & EXPECTED GARAGE VINYL! TY WAGNER, SPENCER P. JONES, THE NEW CHRISTS AND MORE!

  • NEW ARRIVALS - 2013.22

FELINES - A MAN STUCK IN YOUR MIND
THE FELINES are three young Garage Punk girls from Copenhagen who are ready to conquer a trashy low-fi Garage-world! With their first EP out on HEY GIRL! RECORDS in 2012 and livegigs all around Europe they established an international fan-base who are anxious to hear some more of these rocking ladies. High expectations were raised and exceeded by far - this EP will drive you out of your minds! Tracklist: A: A Man Stuck In Your Mind, Meeker Joe. B: Your Cloud, She's A Dog.

GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENTS - ALL GOOD THINGS
ALL GOOD THINGS is the perfect introduction to this stylish and talented newly founded Mod-band, that we cannot wait to hear and see more of! If you like a wild 60s Freakbeatsound with a groovy organ, this band is ideal for you. This EP is what will make your danceparties a hit! Tracklist: A: All Good Things, B: Sock It To Me.

    PROTOKIDS - GEOMETRIC BOY
This is the official debut 45 of Paris own rising stars of powerpop (after the initial 'Kings Of The Hill' Single on on beloved PUSHMYBUTTON). The PROTOKIDS sound like edgy, working class teenage UK powerpop (PROTEX, KIDDA BAND, TRAINSPOTTERS, WHITE HEAT) add bouncy, jangly guitar nutso pop of the late 70 US (think HEATS, As, REAL KIDS) and with their charming BIJOUS-esque french accent - they take any punk heart by storm. This is right the stuff so many are hunting down - fanclub powerpearls compilations from the heydays. Get on your jeans jacket, these moped racers are on stages any of departement in the fifth republic and Europe in the summer to play the right sound at the right time. The 7" has four (!!) so-catchy-it-hurts songs for your pre-weekend jerk-off party - each two songs recorded by Benjamin Daurent of YUSSUS JERUSALEM in the basement and infamous LO' SPIDER.

    TYRED EYES - GHOST
New crusade of the Goteborg vikings! You get four a-sides songs evoking the demons again you thought to release after that braineating ruff & fast album "the piercing stare, the thousand lies". Imagine if ROKY ERICKSON wrote songs back in 70s for SOUNDTRACK OF YOUR LIVES and they got found by four abandoned kids locked up in a mental home. TYRED EYES do heartbreakin' garage pop right next to bipolar rock with razor sharp guitars and their distinctive dueling girl/boy vocals. Is this punk or did Johanna & the three boys just catched rabies? Go check it out at their tour! It's THE band to watch. Who else can handle the continental ice age out there right now? Split release with GAPHALS, 300 copies available here. We can't wait for more.

WAGNER, TY - MISERY TRAIN/SOUL EXERCISE
Ty Wagner cut his first single, "I'm A No-Count" in late 1965 at Gold Star Studios in Hollywood. The record was not a hit, but Ty's gloriously snarling vocal and the songs rebellious lyrics assured that decades later it would become a garage-punk anthem: "Ain't had a haircut in four years / You can't even see my ears." His 1966 single, "Slander," also found a new generation of fans via its appearance on Back from the Grave. Those two sought-after singles were Ty Wagner's only musical legacy-until now. UT Records is proud to present two previously unreleased Ty Wagner tracks recorded in 1967. "Misery Train," a dark and moody thriller with a killer string-bending guitar riff-imagine the Seeds jamming with Link Wray. The flipside, "Soul Exercise," is a sexy, hard-grooved dance number with a dynamic lead vocal and lots of atmospheric percussion-destined to full the floor at hip happenings from this point forth. Limited to just 800 copies, "Misery Train" b/w "Soul Exercise" comes in cool picture sleeve with rare pics and liner notes by Ugly Things Mike Stax.

ZENTRALHEIZUNG OF DEATH - BUSY GHOST
We proudly welcome the german garage punk kids of ZENTRALHEIZUNG OF DEATH on ALIEN SNATCH! Flying wiener dogs deliver three songs - "Busy Ghost" is a dark standout dance floor stomper with pop appeal and the B-Side has two fuzzy assaults in "Summer Guts" and "Chatroulette". ZHOD started few years ago as a manic pussy galore instrumental astroman band and then added vocals to wreak havoc. So here is the dartboard: art damaged protoplasmic noise rock, madmen indie with teenage-twisted psych and blown-out grunge nods and the outer ring is garagey recklessness - the game can start! You just feel the kids go ape on the slippery mall floor anytime and want to join them in their next practice. now gimme me a highway toilet gimme a hockey arena gimme me a tokyo subway! Revive the vibe of the CLONE DEFECTS. In the meantime they shared stages with TY SEGALL early this year and will open for THEE OH SEES this summer.

MONTESAS/IMPERIAL SURFERS - BATTLE OF THE BANDS (10")
Constantly rotating, both combos will throw some wild twist, ecstatic shake and rough rock'n'roll at the disposed spectator. This piece of vinyl pays tribute to the "battle of the bands" and everybody involved: Each person getting a copy of this black piece of gold can be proud to own this SUPEREXCLUSIVE, limited to 300 copies and NEVER AGAIN to be released record with 8 brand-new songs. Whoever does NOT buy this record, has lost.

    3 O'CLOCK - SIXTEEN TAMBOURINES
The Three O'Clock were a key member of LA's Paisley Underground movement and "Sixteen Tambourines" is one of the great lost pop gems of the 1980s.

HIGH LEARYS - HERE COME THE HIGH LEARYS
Here comes a fresh new 60s Garage/Beat/R&B quartet from the other side of the globe - HERE COME THE HIGH LEARYS! After releasing their first 7" on Groovy Records, these guys from Perth, Australia now present their sublime debut album to you, and Soundflat Records is proud to release it! The album is full of catchy melodies, some great party-attitude and a lot of that wonderful 60s Garage-spirit. All songs are self-composed and one of them is catchier than the next. Cheeky guitars and a cool organ support the characteristical vocals by singer Jamie Turner. You can hear the British 1966 influence as well as some 80s Garage-revival sound in a similar manner as THE CHESTERFIELD KINGS or THE GRUESOMES. Tracklist: A: Aint No Fire, Idolise Your Woman, Two To Match, You've Got What I Need, Down Time. B: Not Me (You've Got It All Wrong), Don't Leave Me Much A Man, Kanpai!, Let You Down, Sticks And Stones.

JONES, SPENCER P. -& THE NOTHING BUTTS- - SPENCER P. JONES & THE NOTHING BUTTS
Australia nothing's impossible in Australia, or so it seems... Here's an album by Spencer P. Jones (Beasts Of Bourbon, Slappers, Sacred Cowboys, Green Mist, etc), accompanied by James Baker (Beasts Of Bourbon, Scientists, Dubrovniks, Hoodoo Gurus), Gareth Liddiard (The Drones, Gutterville Splendour Six), Fiona Kitschin (The Drones). And that's what it sounds like, like a mix of these super talented combos. Nine tracks of pure Spencer P. Jones essence with the back support of the core of The Drones. So you can guess, dark and raw songs surrounded by feedback and intensity. This is a one time project, so be good to yourself and get it on shiny loud and heavy vinyl edition.

OGRES - THE ACRID & MISANTHROPIC SOUNDS OF...
Garage rock that sounds like it was recorded in the '60s. The Ogres not only have that trashy garage R&B sound, but also a great album title: 'The Acrid & Misanthropic Sounds Of The Ogres'. It doesn't take long to hear the '60s sound. 'Ain't That Love' contains some excellently trashy guitar sounds as well as some vintage organ eruptions, but basically the entire LP brings to mind legendary bands from the past s.a. Question Mark & The Mysterians, The Haunted and The Standells.

SIXTY SECOND SWINGERS - BETTER WITH FUZZ BABE!
THE SIXTY SECOND SWINGERS from La Rochelle, France now release their first LP BETTER WITH FUZZ BABE! on Soundflat Records - and it is a dirty, fuzzy garage punk-monster indeed! As their name already gives away (a reference to the classic by Little Phil and The Night Shadows), these lads play some crazy, loud garage punk a la Back from the Grave-compilations. If you like explosive, danceable rock'n'roll with a dark farfisasound and a distinguishable 80s-revival influence, you will love this wild new record and play it so loud, that you wont hear your neighbours complaining.

    EXPECTED - 2013.22

POW WOWS - SHOCK CORRIDOR/FIRST WORLD RAG
Pow Wows are back with this exclusive 7" release!!! And they have come armed with the dark and intense sound of their latest release, the Shock Corridor / First World Rag 7". The band continues to draw on their garage punk roots, blending these elements with post-punk and surf overtones to come up with something that sounds different from their previous releases, but still has the sound that Pow Wows is becoming known for.

    PROTO IDIOT - YOU'RE WRONG/YOU CAN'T HIDE
The previous output has had one foot firmly planted in the HIPSHAKES school of frenzied, nervous garagepunk intensity, and the other in a rickety, Kinks-ian, English-countryside gallop. Proto Idiot's debut for TiM however delivers smart and urgent pop tunes having more in common with the DIY smarts of bands like Television Personalities, Wire and The Soft Boys than The Oblivians or The Gories. Includes download!

    SEA, THE - HIGH ON
The two brothers deliver more dirty rock'n'rollin' garage-blues under the influence of MC5, White Stripes, Kills and Stooges. Six tracks on 12-inch vinyl.

    SONSKULL - WIPED CLEAN
12-inch with bent corner and lower price. A mixture of punk and underground fuzzrock. Compared to their debut they've added some surprising and sensitive elements.

NEW BOMB TURKS - TAPEWORM BLUES (10")
6-song 1992 demos 10": CRUDE, RUDE, and LOUD punkrock blort recorded 4 months prior to the epic "!!Destroy-Oh-Boy!!" sessions inna dank basement in Columbus. TWO never-heard originals - "TAPEWORM BLUES", "DRUG CHICKS" plus 4 cuts later re-recorded for "D-O-B". LINERS by Irving Azlik, Jr, much-renowned industry head. 10" includes DOWNLOAD CODE!

BURNT ONES - YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE
LP release of this great collection of dark killer garage glam!

CORPORAL MACHINE & THE BOMBERS - RICHARD FEAVOR IN GOAL
The Bombers' euphonic blend of skiffle, old school mod (R&B), beat and crafted guitar riffs is there to drag your head out of the oven and rejoice in the fact that we're all going down, while the Corporal's sweet and sour poetry joins the dots in your head to show you what you already half knew: that there can be happiness at the bottom of a glass, the masses aren't to be trusted and that crack cocaine is a very risky business!

DEAD GHOSTS - CAN'T GET NO
Rave up garage punk outta Vancouver, Canada!

GRAVELROAD - THE BLOODY SCALP OF BURT MERLIN
T-MODEL FORD's backing band GRAVELROAD returns with the fourth album, and the Seattle-based scorchers are ready to kick down the doors of every bluesy road house they can find. GravelRoad are the worn down white dudes who can play the holy shit out of the heavy '60s Brit-beat blues, the swung bass beat style that you hear from the acoustic Delta recordings of Clarksdale to the electric work of the Hill Country near Oxford, Mississippi. CLASSIC ROCK Magazine called the band's last effort 2012's 'PSYCHEDELTA', album of the year! Pressed on standard black vinyl and presneted with gatefold jacket.

    KING TUFF - WAS DEAD
Reissue on vinyl of this 2009 album. KING TUFF is the brainchild of KYLE THOMAS (WITCH, FEATHERS). This is a most pleasing daydream of a record, one that straddles the line between partying and napping. It's the sound of one man's honest and unbridled supreme lifestyle concerning only TV, snacks, and personal expression via lazy and fuzzy-feeling power-pop rock'n'roll.

    MOVEMENT - FOOLS LIKE YOU
A sharp dressed mod-trio from Copenhagen, influenced by The Who, The Jam and The Clash. Intense vocals, urgent rhythms, snappy guitars, killer bass and awesome, fast drums!

SALMON, KIM -& SPENCER P. JONES- - RUNAWAYS
Picture this: - KIM SALMON: Scientists, Beasts Of Bourbon, Kim Salmon & the Surrealists, SALMON, etc. - SPENCER P. JONES: Beasts Of Bourbon, Johnnys, Slappers, Sacred Cowboys, Green Mist, etc. These two Australian living legends get together in the studio to record together again after 22 years and for the first time since The Beasts of Bourbon "The Low Road". Awesome! Well, this is what we get. The dirty, raw and dark blues sounds of "The Low Road", but handled in minimal passages by these two mighty Gentlemen of fortune. Their own songs plus cover tracks of The Gun Glub, The Stooges, Alex Chilton and other classics take this record from the studio to your record collection shelves for your pleasure and joy. Just get it and listen to the Maestros.

SPIVS, THEE - CROWDS & THE SOUNDS
A blend of trad punk, garage punk, post punk, new wave and pub rock.

    TEENGENERATE - GET ACTION!
Repress! Tokyo's Kings Of Garage Punkrock debut 19-song LP! A super-lo-fi blast of revved-up, roaring garage punk that tips its cap equally to power-pop punk predecessors (THE REAL KIDS) and to the more mid-60s garage-punk-oriented punk pioneers (SAINTS, DMZ, etc), coming up with a great combination of punk and pop.

    TWIN PEAKS - SUNKEN
Catchy hooks, chorused guitars, chugging rhythms, and pure rock'n'roll. A cool record!

    WOBBLY ORGAN - MUSIQUE CONCRETE
NYC sonic brutality recorded in 1991 which has remained unreleased until now!!! Check this band: - Ron Ward (Five Dollar Priest, Speedball Baby) - Seth Tiven (Dumptruck) - Billy Cote (Madder Rose) - Jimmy Ryan (Blood Oranges) - John Williams (Volcano Suns) - Mark Mulcahy (Miracle Legion) They got in the studio and, in one go and with no mercy, recorded an audiosonic hazard where the speedball baby collapsed in the funhouse, on the verge of suicide... Weird, narcotic, brutally sonic and distorted, this record was produced, in order to sound as raw and wild as it came, by Sean Slade (Lou Reed, Radiohead, Hole, Dinosaur Jr, Pixies, Morphine, Dictators, etc, etc, etc). Amazing...
