Mollesters part II

  • I made the call to Jean Pierre and we strolled down memory lane. Here are some things that came to the surface while we stirred in the deep pond of long lost time. Nearly every gig of the early Mollesters ended in chaos and mayhem. It became so bad that all the venues didn't want to book them because they were afraid of all the damage and police visits. Looking back it was really a big mess with people wounded and hurt. Physically and/or mentally. At the time it seemed like the normal thing because, hey we were Punks. So business as usual. Things got "misplaced". Musical instruments, sharp edged weapons, stimulating substances and of course alcohol. A day after a gig I always found unopened beer bottles hidden in weird places in my car. Groupies galore.............. XXX rated versions and then some. Oh yeah! Indecent public behavior: urinating in public was one of the minor misdemeanors. Did I mention the fights that broke out when people thought that they might have been insulted? Or looked upon in a certain way? Missing the last train home and sleeping in the first train home at the closed station. With a stop over at the hospital because wounds had to be sewed up first. Hanging around in sleazy bars with the lowlife debris that comprises of big city alcoholics. Everyone thought it rather quaint to hang around guys who sung weird songs and then piss in their pants. (This is one that I actually forgot but here it is...) Fond memories of weird times. All this is bubbling to the surface and the soundtrack on the background of this road movie can be heard here on the GaragePunk hideout. Maybe that's why I love this place. It's got all the fun of yesteryear but not the smells.
