Lyres are looking to fill two dates in the Midwest in April: Thursday, April 16th; and Friday, April 17th. We're playing in Davenport, IA at Ragged Records on Record Store Day, Saturday, April 18th, and in Peoria, IL at Younger Than Yesterday on Sunday, April 19th. We'd like to book that Thursday and Friday in St. Louis, Chicago, Champaign, Milwaukee, Madison, etc... 

Hey everybody.  I've recently begun travelling every other week to Raleigh NC for work.  Any suggestions on record shops, venues, tattoo shops, places to hang out, sight seeing, etc. etc?  I haven't gotten to do much exploring yet, and it hasn't seemed like much has been going on.  Interested in any recommendations you got...

I think there's some action in the Carbondale area... or, at least, there was at one time.

You guys definitely seem like the authority on this, my question is was there (or is there currently) a garage rock scene or any garage records done in the southern Illinois/Western Kentucky area? Just wanting to know if my neck of the woods has any garage rock history. Any info appreciated.
