Hey Rufus,
Thanks for thinking about us, but we're not gonna be able to make it to this one. We're open to doing it on another date. I'll keep you posted on our future travel plans and we'll make it down there soon!
Thanks guys

Yeah, that might work. We've got four bands and a raffle going already, so you might have to go on pretty early. But it might be possible anyway.
I like your thinking Rufus....

See the discussion directly below this one....ie Hamilton garage night Jan 25th.
Hey all, we're looking for a show on Friday, January 25th somewhere in southern Ontario. We're from Ottawa and we're playing in Peterborough on the 26th. If anybody's looking for an opening band on the 25th, we'd love to fill in. We can repay you with a show here in Ottawa!
Thanks

also. were looking for shows in and around southern ontario for the new year. let us know if youve got any sweet gigs for us :)
we would love to play!!!!
CAN'T WAIT!!!
Since we started this thing, we'd never been able to find right mix of ingredients to get the sound we had echoing around our mangled medullas. We knew what we wanted The Evil Eyes to sound like, but we just couldn't get there.
Until now.
After 5 drummers (the first one unfortunately being me), The Evil Eyes have finally found the missing element! Derek Smith is the new purveyor of percussion for The Evil Eyes! (he's also in Hamilton's Noble Savages, who recently recorded one of my fave new songs; that thing's a BEAST, an unrelenting gobsmack of rock n roll!).
With a new drummer and new songs, the juggernaut of snot, snarl, bile, and venom is unleashed again upon the world.
THIS MACHINE EATS HIPSTERS!!!
We are setting up a short tour of Boston, Burlington VT, and Montreal and I'm trying to find out the best garage clubs for out of town acts? I have heard L'Esco is great and Cabaret at Mile End is cool as well.
Are there any better clubs for some english-speaking out-of-towners?
Thanks!
again tonight! https://www.facebook.com/events/133434163473141/
The show was a TOTAL success!!! Over 300 people came to the art opening on a cold and rainy night and many of the artists were in attendance. The art display is on until Dec 14th and the gallery is only open Wed to Sat 12 to 5PM, 258 Richmond St, London Ontario.
And the party at Call the Office was a SMASHING success!!! Venue was packed, all the bands were just amazing and it was great seeing people we haven't seen in years! Sold tons of the new issue of What Wave as well as tons of band merch! And the venue sold out of Labatt's 50 so you know we all had fun!!
Here's the wall of posters (all between 77 and 1990) as a small part of the art exhibit...and some jerk in the way of the picture.
Opening night is tonite at Forest City Gallery in London Ontario...above is a partial setup of the wall. There's lots more to see at the show as well.
Then Saturday night at Call The Office, Graphic Underground:London 1977-1990 opening party with; Uranus, The Zellots, NFG and The Enemas.
And available at both shows will be What Wave #24, 104 pages of London Ontario band trees and info. Plus a 90m cassette of almost all unreleased material from the era. This is the first WW in 16 years!
Yet another change to the above....APK venue has closed.
We've moved the opening night party to Call The Office in downtown London on Saturday Oct 27th...
Here's the new facebook event for the opening night party:
Slight change in the Graphics Underground London 1977 1990 Event.
Opening night for the art show (zines, posters etc) is still on Friday Oct 26th. The exhibit will be open until mid December.
Opening night party has been moved to Saturday Oct 27th, still at the APK and still with the same 4 bands playing...ie Uranus, The Zellots, NFG and The Enemas.
AND...there's a record show on Sunday Oct 28th at Centennial Hall here in London. It starts at 11 AM, so you can fight me the next morn for all the cool records at the show!!
Here's a link to the Graphics Underground Show:
