From an email from Dirty Water Records:
Boston's Lyres are returning to London with their full Boston lineup for the first time since December 1984....29 years! This is a major event in the Rock'nRoll calendar. If you like Lyres, you are going. If you don’t like them, you are not going because you hate Lynn Pokemonojeff and all he stands for. If you are unsure about them ….GO! It’s going to be brilliant and who knows if/when this will happen again? These guys have simply have been the best rock’n’roll band in Boston for a long time despite some pretty stiff competition. Why? Relentless rehearsal might have something to do with it....37 years rehearsing in the same basement trying to learn Louie Louie....
Great support from the Kneejerk Reactions - it's also their record launch night - and the Hypnotic Eye.
And, don't forget, there are DJs after the bands through til 3am, with Dirty Water's PJ and our German friend Kid Border playing garage-punk and rock'n'roll and vintage soul/r&b 45s.
Discount, no fee tickets, as always, available at tinyurl.com/DirtyWaterTickets.
Cool! Would be good to meet you. Cheers, Steve
Sounds great, we'll try and pop down!
The date would help...Friday October 25th...!

Baddat for Trubbel and Rajayttajat.
I like Giuda a lot too. Not really garage, but a great throwback 70's glam with a pub and 70's punk influence.
Maharajas (they currently working on the Moody side).
Flight Reaction, very great stuff & alive!
The Branded, always good :) & would also like to mention Thee Gravemen & Leadfoot Lea..
Paul Messis, of course!

THE PEAWEES play a couple of shows each year, not as busy as way back then of course. They did a 7" last year on our BACHELOR RECORDS. The singer / songwriter often plays with members of MISS CHAIN AND THE BROKEN HEELS in backing bands for NIKKI CORVETTE, PAUL COLLINS BEAT etc....
Cool! I like that Sonic Jett Records release Miss Chain put out. Not familiar with much else.

That Giuda album from a couple of years back still gets a lot of play. That's one band I can honestly see getting some popularity. I liked Taxi a lot too.
The Peawees were really good. They still around?
The Atomsmashers Lp on Ripoff was ridiculous. I know a lot of people didn't like it. I think it's funny
