      Yes, our host somehow fixed it for now. Hope it sticks!

    • Nope, doesn't work.

      1. There is supposed to be a numbered list on this page, but it's not showing up that way: http://garagepunk.com/pages/compsubmissions
      2. This is annoying as I think it happens all over the site.
      3. As an example, I'm going to make this a numbered list. This line should be showing up as #3.
      4. And, this would be Numero Four.
      5. Does it work?

    • February 12, 2014 4:34 PM CST
    • yes, and the site wouldn't let me copy and paste it to here... i can type the codes in here if that would help...

      body {

      background: rgba(92, 16, 228, 0.88) }

      div, td {

      color: rgba(12, 236, 236, 0.95) }

      div, layout_activity_feed h3, #profile_status >h2 {

      color: rgba(12, 189, 245, 0.91) }

      div.layout_activity_feed h3, .global_form > div >div > h3, #smoothbox_window h3, .layout_middle>h3 {

      color: rgba(133, 245, 12, 0.91) }

      div.layout_activity_feed, #global_page_core-pages-testhome .layout_core_container_tabs {

      color: rbga(36, 247, 8, 0.94) }

      ok that's all the codes i have, half of them work... i had a purple background and now it's white and lost some colored font reverting to black. why mess with the design of the site? well it says i can 'in edit my profile', so why not? the prevailing theme of this site is white on grey and it's very drab looking if i can say that... and i had a member awhile back ask me how i did it and i told him it was all trial and error and i eventually figured it out somehow. i think lots of people visit other people's profiles here besides going to the activity feed.... i go there to profiles to check out what kinda music they're into and see if we have something in common musically anyway... i think that's important since this site takes in a lot of different sub genres. yes on fb i also go to people profiles besides the newsfeed, let's say if i want to add them or see pics or whatever.... i know i've put a lot of time finding videos and band album pics for this site and if nobody cares or looks then what's the point? anyway, i complained about this over a week ago and haven't bitched about it since and wasn't going to bother you anymore with it, so don't mean to be a pain in the ass, sorry ;)

    • All that does is take me to my own "Edit My Profile" page, not yours. Without knowing what CSS codes you're trying to add, there's not much I can do. All I can say is I really wouldn't bother with it if I were you. I think the regular design of the site is fine the way it is (why mess with it?), but that's just me. Most people when they come to the site don't visit other people's profile pages, anyway, they hit the "home" page and and look at the activity feed, or go into the Forums or other sections. Kinda like Facebook... how often do you actually go to a friend's profile there? You usually just sit and watch what scrolls by on your news feed.

    • first go to 'info' - then to 'new members!' -  'i've joined, now what?' - '1) set up your profile page' - 'css here' - 'edit my profile' - and that takes you to the list of codes i have... this site won't let me copy and paste them to here. i lost half of the colors on my profile page and then tried to get them back and couldn't. would like to have my profile the way it was before... i didn't get in there to change anything before this happened, it just occured when i returned to the site one day and noticed some colors were gone... thanks for your help.

    • I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about. What CSS codes? Where? Got a screen capture or a link or anything?

      Thanks,

    • Half of my css codes aren't working now, I got an update message that won't go away, and my friends and views are not being updated, please help?

    • I think this is what he means by the image upload showing up 2 times:

      HA! I can't upload the damned screen shot to show you. Ugh!

      When you go to "Add New Topic" in the Forum, it has both an "Attach a Photo" link as well as a "Choose File" button.

      I suppose the "Choose File" button could work for non-"photo" or image uploads (like text documents, PDFs, etc.), but we really don't need the "Attach a Photo" link there if they can put it in the WYSIWYG editor, where it belongs.

    • I don't know what "2 time upload" means, but did you get the account info to send the plugin creator a support ticket?

    • I do not know how to edit source code.

    • February 12, 2014 3:03 PM CST
    • Oh there it is.

    • February 12, 2014 3:03 PM CST
    • Not sure what you mean.

    • Did you try using the "<>" source code button on the text editor when pasting in the html code?

    • February 12, 2014 2:58 PM CST
    • The strange thing is that pasting plain old .xls files always worked fine in the past. I did try saving it as .html instead of .xls, but it still did not work.

      It is not that important. I'm just wondering if I was doing anything wrong and if it was easily fixable. Thanks!

    • I think that's probably because the text box strips out any sort of spreadsheet formatting and just pastes in the text from those cells. I don't think I have ever been able to copy from a spreadsheet and past it into an HTML box and just have it magicly appear the way it would in a spreadsheet, not without first converting the cells to an HTML table, anyway.

    • In a forum reply I have been trying to post a playlist in by pasting a two column spreadsheet.  No matter how I format the spreadsheet, I am unable to have the artist and song show up as two separate columns.  Instead the artist and song are separated only by a space like below:

      Creation For All That I Am
      Five Americans Western Union
      Who Run Run Run
      Les Fleur de Lys Circles

      Never had this problem in the past. Any suggestions?

    • This must have happened after a recent upgrade to the Social Engine software, but apparently we can no longer easily embed links within text in new posts in the Forum, Blogs, or Classifieds. I've submitted a support request to our host to see if they can correct this, but if it was removed by SE, they may not be able to add it back. I have no friggin' idea why SE would decide to remove these buttons from the WYSIWYG editor... pretty stupid move if you ask me.

    • February 6, 2014 9:48 AM CST
    • I haven't had the problem in a few days so I think it's been resolved. Closing this for now.

    • If it's related to this plugin, you can send them a support ticket for it.

      However, this thread was created before the Advanced Forum plugin was even installed.

    • February 2, 2014 3:36 PM CST
    • It's because the old forum (before the Advanced Forum) widget on the Member Profile page in the Layout Editor in the Admin panel was set to be the first tab. Since it doesn't exist anymore, nothing showed up. I moved it out of the way.
