John Battles asked about Dave Rave:
I MEANT , WAS HE EVER IN TEENAGE HEAD ? IT WOULD'NT SURPRISE ME , BUT I'D NEVER HEARD THAT HE WAS.....
Yes, Dave Rave was in Teenage Head for many years. He was actually in the band at the very beginning for a short time when the band was forming.
He re-joined many years later as rhythm guitar, background vocals and first appeared on the Trouble In The Jungle LP. Around the release of this LP, things started to dis-integrate and Frankie had to leave due to his problems. Dave Rave was suddenly lead vocalist of the band. This lineup of the band recorded the Electric Guitar LP and the Can't Stop Shakin' 12" EP. They also released a couple of singles with this lineup. A year or so after this LP, the band packed it in....Dave Rave went into Dave Rave Conspiracy from there.
Dave was probably in the band about 4 or 5 years and maybe 2 or 3 of those years he was lead vocalist. For some reason, history (read the internet) doesn't seem to acknowledge this time period. I remember seeing them at least 3 or more times with Dave as lead vocalist and have some live tapes to prove it. They were still a rockin' band with Dave as vocalist, but the unpredictability/charisma of Frankie was missing during this time.
Hope this clarifies a few things.
