    • The best band I've seen in the past 2 years has to be The Parents...Amazing bloody singer/songwriter...I personally can't get enough of them, just a pity they don't play live as much as they should.

    • I've heard bad things about Discmakers.
I've had good luck with these guys...http://www.cdrollout.com/    I don't know how competitive the pricing is but they're super easy to work with and even threw in some freebies. Tell 'em I sent you.

    •  220 Short is in the process of recording a new album. We have been looking at Discmakers' CD Replication packages, but feel that we could find a better deal elsewhere. Any suggestions?

    • This is such tragic, shocking news.  I first heard of Ricky Kulwicki in high school; his younger sister went to school with us, and his band the Frantix was the only thing close to real punk rock that we felt we had in 1980's suburban wasteland of Aurora CO.  He was so dreamy, so sweet, and such a rocker.  And he was practically ONE OF OUR OWN, so I followed everything he did.  I am who I am in part because of him.  I had the good fortune to call him a friend.  He was an amazing man, rocker, guitar player, father, and friend.  R.I.P. Ricky, you made the world a better place.

    • Do the live radio! It's all good experience whichever way you look at it. If you get confidence and some presenting skills out of it, it will help with your podcasting anyway.

    • I tend to write by myself(more out of necessity right now, as I'm without a band, but even with a band), work out a couple of riffs, then dip into a big book I have with half-written lyrics and figure out which ones will go with what. It's a bit of a painstaking process, but it usually works to get the start of a couple of good songs.
