What a cool story, other than you getting blamed for stealing!  I have drank with Jeff Clayton of ANTiSEEN, but no beers with the Buzzcocks!  What an awesome memory!

They didn't offer that.  Maybe it's because our BBQ sauce in Seattle is generic and comes from the midwest.

sure i heard the elevators and the seeds back in the 80s but these were rare and exotic things back then.

the US is so huge and the music so diverse,

the music this site offers is a real eye opener, i find all sorts of stuff  i never knew existed,

the US soul scene is well served here in england many black artists who barely made  a dent on the us charts in the sixties are given almost god like status in uk soul club circles and rightly so.

but the garage is still an unknown to most.

i like my music raw.

i like my music honest.

i like my music groovy.

Oh, and as for Cobain. The dude was alright I guess, if you like very unoriginal musicians. Had a great taste in music though, I enjoy going through bands he listed as influential and listening to them sometimes.

I wouldn't blame him for being a schmuck to everyone around him, all the fucking hippies at that time around must have been very hard to deal with then. Brian Jones was rad.

I love the dude's contribution to RNR, but having read every Stones article/book/biography I could get my grubby mitts on over the years the guy was a complete schmuck to everyone around him.  Plus he beat on women. Maybe deserving death is a bit harsh, I'll concede, but the universe has a way of taking out the trash.
