Probably "Empty Heart." It just brims with abandon and energy. It's all over the place at once and comes from what, to me, is their greatest phase ('64-'66), It's the record, not the song; you hear other bands do "Empty Heart" and there's not much there beyond the riff and some harp, but the Stones' side is just a barnstormer.
Shattered, don't know why it just is, and Honky Tonk Woman, because the best songs don't necessarily have to be explosive. There is a certain constrained quality to that song, like you're almost getting to where you're going, but not quite and that's ok because you're just along for the ride anyway.
yes ...your right..my screw up......i Love the 3d cover w/ the Beatles in the flowers!!!!!! FREDDI said:
Oh yes, strange album that (I guess you mean"Their Satanic Majesties Request") for the Stones, not everybody liked it.
For me it's not one of their best, but not so bad. 2000 light years from home,Citadel,2000 man the best songs.

It's hard to narrow this down, so I'll name several of my favorites..."Dandelion," "Stray Cat Blues," "Tell Me," "Dead Flowers," "Rocks Off," "Under My Thumb," "LIve With Me," "She's a Rainbow," "2000 Light Years from Home," "Soul Survivor."
If I can think of more, I'll name them.
I'm not sure I have a favorite, but "Let's Spend The Night Together" always has gets me happy and singing along.

i recently found the stones 1970's LP "around and around" album on a 2nd hand market, and was really please to listen to it as i never thought the stones were that good. The Chuck Berry's cover "around and around" is really good in my opinion.
I say : Tell me ( I'm romantic girl!), but actually I love whole "England Newest Hitmakers" album, I really like it.
It's not easy..not the song..it's not easy to find a fave one.
I would say "Satisfaction" because I heard it when I was 11 from my mother's records, and that guitar, that drums, that voice..well I think you know. It has been the first time I knew the rock.
Then, We love you,19th nervous breakdown,Have you seen your mother, baby,Mother's little helper,Child of the moon,Let's spend the night together,Paint it black...How can you say which is the best one....
paint it Black.... spooky & Ballsy & psycadelic...
What is your favorite song & why?
hello kooper. I found a copy of the record on ebay and bought it. thanks!
from what i understand, the las vegas shakedown was for kind of an alternative to viva las vegas by the locals. at least thats what i gathered when i lived there for a short time.....
I would say...not that many... but for those that have...it would cost more to send them from Europe to the US then to keep them... The Gray Things said:

It´s true what you say...but it´s like with Books...even you don´t read them anymore.... Brother Panti-Christ said:
I say SELL them.
There isn't anything worse then holding onto items just for the sake of nostalgia... There are plenty of people who will buy them from you for YOUR price, and they will love them, play them and cherish them until the same thing that happened to you has happened to them. If you have the music elsewhere then you are just have a huge stack of garage gold that someone will be happy to take off of your hands.......

Hi... I still listen mainly to 60´s Garage and Psych...but in the days of MP3 on my iphone or PC...almost all of them have been mp3ed...some of them I have as LP and CD... Gringo Starr said:
The original Nuggets was released by Elektra in 1972 (worth about 80-120 smackers in good condition) , by the way. Why don't you listen to these records anymore? And what exactly are you listening to at the moment? Good move deciding to keep these treasures, though!
Films just mess everything up.
Next stop Oprah!
Coulda done with a bit more about The Reatards or at least a mention for The Persauders (they were late 90s right?) but that's just me. Now hows about making a film outta this thing like American Hardcore?
Great podcast! :D
I can't believe I've managed to miss it all these years. Something always came up. I'll be in full swing for my debut - attending all 4 days and performing on Saturday (guest rhythm guitar for Armitage Shanks). I am truly blessed. Am I bragging?
