    • Sorry I'm a little late in responding to this. I still don't believe you're right about using the word "belief" like that, because I've never seen anyone use it that way before. However, it's been a while since I took a class in English grammar, and maybe this is something you do on your side of the pond, so I'll leave it at that. Sorry I got a little nasty with you, but I just don't share that purist outlook that I can't like both Springsteen and garage rock. OCEAN PALACE said:

i think you'll find its deffinittetlly belief. you use believe when you are talking about sometehing singular, for example, "i belief there is two ducks in the pond", that is plural cos there is two ducks and "i believe there is one duck in the pond" when its singular. and if you wanna like brucey thats fine by me and i apologise i just came home last night and saw a thread on him and instantly got angry.

Fuck you. I'll like whatever I want to like. If you can't deal with it, it's your problem.

BTW, you should have written "believe" rather than "belief."

And for your information, I like Springsteen's early material, i.e. "Born to Run" and "Darkness on the Edge of Town," along with select tracks from the first two albums and "The River." Yes, "Born in the USA" was an embarrassment, because it was the sell out album.

BTW, here's an e-mail that I received from fuzztopia. Maybe that was the plan all along, to just keep it in a beta format for a while to see how it would work out...

Fuzztopia would like to thank everybody who has created a profile and helped us test the site. Your feedback and contributions have been a huge help!

The site will be coming down for a little bit as we are in the process of making some changes based on your comments (better user interface, updated look and feel, faster load times, profile customization etc.), as well as continuing to get more cool content, and real opportunities for bands.

We will continue to keep you updated as we move closer to the launch.

    • does anybody knowany good tunes with like a spacey feel.... like when you listen to it you feel like you are in another galaxy or another dimension? touching the stars, you see an offshore space coloney making a space city, so you get like a blade runner feel or a sci fi video game feel, like FREELANCER if anybody has ever played that,, anyway i want to feel like im out there floating when i listen.

    • Yes,the volume is the same for any speakers configuration, with a 4x12 you will gain more headroom.
The difference is in the sound:it will be hard to overdrive 4 speakers with a lower wattage amp and it will play almost only clean. You may need a good fuzz/distorsion pedal in that way.

Anyway,I think valve amps play good when they're pushed at least. If you play in locals, clubs a 100 watts is too much for push it.
A 40/50 watts amp is good enough or an AC30 head with a 2x12 is a good solution, but they "must" be 2 Celestion Blue Alnico speakers for the joy of your Vox.(and yours)

    • Get a 100 watt head if you're using a 4x12 cab.

    • Pete,

AC 30 is fine for a band, b ut remember it will sound only like an AC 30....epi jr is built for recording, and it is going to overdrive, so forget about clean. Not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but short of a Fender Showman head, if you are playing surf, any 100 watt + amp will fool the masses if it has a lot of clean headroom. Solid state bass amps are the way to go. They are cheap and plentiful on the used market, and usually have great eq features, THat and a new fender 63 reverb pedal thru your 412 cab, and you are in business. And remember to have fun when you play.

Remember, put two beers in the audience, and anything sounds good.

    • Hey,

this is probably a ridiculous question to some of you, but I've been looking at getting a new amp, and i've been wondering...

what sort of volume will I be able to get from an AC30 Head (30 Watt) or an Epiphone Valve Jr (5 Watt) when pushed through a 4x12 cabinet? can it hold its own a live situation with the rest of a band or will it still have to be put through a PA?

      cheers

    • This is an amazing find!!

Personally, i'd love to see another box set, like the one that was done in 1988 by Trafalgar/WEA called Under The Ashes. But this time with even more material and the live set from 12/77....yes i'm drooling! And yes, please another Radio Birdman arm patch!

      Radio Birdman Archives Discovered

Radio Birdman management has located dozens of boxes of 24 track tape
recorded by the band in the mid 70's. These tapes had long been thought
to have been destroyed. The tapes were found at AC/DC's famed Albert's
Studios in North Sydney. They had been kept in a climate controlled
archive, and are in pristine condition.

The band will be sorting through all of the many hours of this material in the next month, to prioritize material for a box set that
will include outtakes, unreleased songs, and alternate versions. In
addition to studio material, there is a complete multitrack recording
of a concert at Paddington Town Hall, from 12/12/77. With a production
session scheduled for April, fans can expect a release by years end.

    • This is driving my nuts.
What farging songs belong to the riffs in the new Radioblivion intro??!??!??!
What really chaps my ass is I have a bunch on them - but I still can't figure out what they are. How lame is that?
