I have to say that aside from the original 60's Fender Reverb Units, hands down the absolute best available right now is the Gomez G-Spring reverb. ..no, seriously. There's nothing like a true tube reverb. If you don't wanna get an original Fender one I would recommend "Kendrick". These sometimes appear on ebay (like right now! See pics) for not too heavy prices. I got one and I love it. It turns every club into a huge wet surf cave.

Well,I got my digital "Holy Grail" EHX, that sounds good enough for me,
but I never played with a Tube unit reverb,and I think it can't compare.
There are some analog spring pedals (Danelectro,Lanilei etc.) that some says are good too.
But the difference of an old or new unit sounds,it worth their price?

i think lots of people like to say LONDON CALLING---because they cant stomach most of THE CLASH. As a band they were way intense and you had to have mroe patience to wade through an album...they were a revolutionary band, after all. Plus, London Calling is a pretty aweseom title--its like a call to arms,,,so its no surprise to me

I understand what you're saying because during the last year that my band was together, being from the Pacific Northwest, we somehow ended up playing a lot of Sonics songs, and I ended up being bored to tears. And I felt like I was cheating my audience by resorting to standards. Sure a lot of them cheered on but how long was that going to last. And no body in my band wanted to learn anything new. Sure, anybody can do what they want, but doesn't anyone want to be impressive anymore? The Mean Mean Men said:

I kinda was thinking over the past couple of weeks that I was a little hasty on Buddy Holly being a power pop originator, cuz when you think about it, some songs, Rave On, Maybe Baby, It's So Easy, Everyday, Think It Over, have the melodies that most songs of the era didn't have and could easily be done by power pop bands of today and the last thirty years. Didn't The Real Kids do a cover of Rave On?
