Have you looked into automata? Just a little for me but if people like Pat Metheny can interact with electronic controlled analog instruments and say it goes far beyond his expectations then-----it might be a new area for years of new shit. Were not speed metal here but I've seen 350 BPM with total control. Type in over at the tube, I like that saxophone and percussion is a natural. Any guitar player want to describe those necks and what appears to be a movable nut. Picking at standard position and another at the top. HEY get this, I went to get the link for you and I had a message from the guy!!! I left a thumbs up and he asked if I had any requests...... He's our chance to garage-punk-Haze-a-bot.

Damn, I've been trying to embed this Youtube for a few days but it's not working. So here's the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZFr2Fh66zs It's Jacques Brel singing "Amsterdam" (aka "The Port of Amsterdam") My favorite version actually was by Dave Van Ronk. It's working!

If we haven't heard it, how would we know that we haven't heard it? How could we post here about it? Pretty hard to discover something that's undiscovered, knowwhatamsayin?

In my humble opinion, the best thing to do is learn the 5-tone blues scale and listen to a lot of Billy Childish....

That's how I feel about The Last in general. Wilbert Harrsion did a pretty sharp version of Louie Louie on the "Let's Get Together" LP on Sue. Rockin Rod Strychnine said:

Also, Black Flag's version of "Louie Louie" is one of my faves (the Last's and Kingsmen's versions are great, too), so I disagree that you'd only need the A-side of the comp. BTW, speaking of comps like this one, I have "Love That Louie - The Louie Louie Files" collection on Ace Records, and it's better:

I was gonna say....
Also, I think you can get Black Flag's version on 7 inch vinyl. Don't know about the Last's version. It's OK.

You really only need Side A of this record.

I'd like to be able to take credit for that, but I just googled some of the lyrics lol I think it's an error on the. pressing plant's part because I don't think Bitch even released an album on Rhino... so weird! Ken (Evil Empire Records) said:
I don't know if it is or not... But I'm impressed you could recognize Bitch. I wouldn't be able to pick a Bitch song out of the crowd!

I bought this record over the weekend http://www.amazon.com/Best-Louie-Vol/dp/B0000032IJ/ref=pd_sim_m_1 except on vinyl LP not CD like the link. The track listing on my sleeve is:
A
LL - Rice University Marching Owl Band Band
LL - Richard Berry
LL- Rockin' Robin Roberts
LL - The Sonics
LL- The Sandpipers
B
LL - The Kingsmen
LL - The Last
LL - Black Flag
LL - Les Dantz and his Orchestra
The Hallelouie Chorus - The Impossibles
The only problem is, side B of the record I have is all songs by the 80's heavy metal band Bitch!! What the hell?!
Does anyone know if this was a common error on the pressing of this comp?

I got a used BOSS Blues Driver and a BD-2 mod kit form Monte Allum mods, and ended up with a real nice sounding fuzz type overdrive on the cheap. Modding the circuit board of a pedal requires a few tools and a little bit of electronics knowledge, but you can get a boutique quality pedal like the ones that cost hundreds for next to nothing.

Thanks Freddi---I didn't have near enough time to take in all those beautiful curves let alone hardware. Quick scan and I don't think I found one that I would hide under the bed. Again thanks for your time and effort. I shall return. If anyone reads this take a second to just say thanks to the people who up something you like, what's another 10seconds.

Not high on my list but a nice first pitch. A friend introduced me to Johnny Bolin(Black Oak Arkansa drummer) brother to Tommy Bolin the guitarist. For those that might need a short background on Tommy, Jeff Beck said he was the most naturally gifted player he knew of. Anyway Johnny was eager to entertain because Glen Buxton (guitarist, founder of Alice Cooper Band) had come along with me. After Johnnies gig was over that night he invited us over, as I walk in his porch I see the speakers I lusted after back in 1975-ESS known for their pleated ribbon mid-tweets, hot shit then and $$ now). I told him the story and said he had a buyer if he ever wanted to sell them. He said I could have them for $150 "sold" as he opens the front door he tells me they were Tommy's-----instant boner---and that he was keeping the other two in the basement. So Tommy went quad in 75, as Glen and Johnny shoot it I'm thinkin SWEET, the buzz was killed several minutes later when Johnny said he wanted to think about it for a day or two. A related trivia nugget, when Richie Blackmore took time off from Deep Purple Tommy stepped in. The Purple's manager had been close to Jimi Hendrix and had his ring which he placed on Tommy's finger at his funeral.
