I've just heard that there is pressingplant here in Sweden, does anyone have any info about it? Is it the same plant that was/is in Jönköping?

Some friends of mine has worked with Handle With Care in Germany and they have also been pleased with their work.

One thing about GZ is that they can press your records very fast, at least they have done that the times we have asked them that we need the records very fast (for a tour etc.). We received a 7" on 1 1/2 week a couple of years ago and that was really great.

The czech place did a good job on our (the interceptors) first single - that was a while back though - very popular amongst bands from the north east of england it seems...

We use GZ Digital Media in the Czech Republic for most of our stuff. We have been pleased with their work so far except for a couple of times. We have also pressed at Musicol Recordings in the USA and we are very pleased with their work: http://www.musicolrecording.com/ Andreas

I think one of the best compliments I ever heard paid to Lux (& Ivy) was from Andre Williams at the Viper Room in LA about 10 years ago. Acknowledging Lux & Ivy from the stage he said "We may not be the same color, but we all came from the same pussy".

The Cramps were without a doubt, the biggest musical influence in my life...i hate to think where i'd be today without the music of The Cramps. They influenced my record collection, my musical direction, even my clothing selection back in the day. In fact, we even named our youngest daughter after Ivy... This is really sad. Not only the Cramps have been one of the coolest bands ever, we have a lot to thank them for. If there was no Cramps, there would have been no Back From The Grave, no Crypt records, no Desperate Rock and Roll, no Garage revival in the 80's. They were some of the first people to re-discover so much coolness in music and culture from past eras. Obscure stuff form the 50's and 60's would probably still be in the hands of grey bearded collectors. Mike says some posts above "they owned any song they covered". I couldn't agree more with him. My pal Tutti from La Secta Violeta turned me on them back in 1983. I'll be always grateful for that.

Very, very sad news!

I once drove from Lawrence, KS to Omaha, NE to see them. Then a year later, they played in Lawrence on the night of my birthday. Both times they put on an amazing show.

The Cramps have also turned all of us on to some of the most rockin' music ever, things we may not have even heard of if it weren't for them.

What else can be said? RIP Lux, thinking of Ivy.

My fave band...my fave frontman...the two best shows I ever saw were the Toronto Cramps shows right before Smell of Female came out and right after, with the Date with Elvis tour holding a close third place.
Not just a frontman or a band, but a whole way of life, in a way....

Every time I have played at STATTO (or just been to see a band) almost everyone in the club goes to the izakaya by the station afterwards until 4am when the trains start running again.
