I'm currently digging the Diamond Rugs, Cheap Time (Wallpaper Music) & Fidlar (Don't Try...EP).  I had never heard of them and they opened for The Hives.  I really liked it!  Very bouncy.  Following in the tradition of old L.A. punk.

At this moment I really like listening to Death Letters. Two young guys, guitar and drums, and they rock! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXXhcqlt-6Q But ask me again tomorrow...

Cool Beltones tune, sounds like a punk version of the Pogues in that song. Chaz

Everyone should know, love, appreciate and emmulate the Beltones. Their On Deaf Ears EP collects all their early 7 inches onto a CD. Only 20 minutes. But 20 minutes is all you need to have your life turned upside down!!  I love this goddamn band.

Whoa - the cover alone looks amazingly badass, almost have to buy it just based on that! I found some clips on amazon, sound pretty damn Hawt!
      Thanks for sharing Kopper

Here's one you probably don't have, but is an amazing live recording from a Minneapolis band who was around in the late '70s playing wild & raucous garage trash when no one else was! It's insanely good...

I think I discovered the blog of one of the members....it's called Ghetto Blasters and Butterfly Knives.  It's given me alot of entertainment.  The Agenda is alot of fun!!!

Check out "Start the Panic" from the Agenda! (The exclamation point is part of their name). It was released back in '09 on Athens, GA-based indie label Kindercore, and I discovered it in a now closed FYE. It was used, dirt cheap, and I liked the cover. I sampled some cuts at a listening station, and I was fucking hooked. From beginning to end, it's gritty garage that doesn't let up, and I've been hoping to find more from this group. This vid isn't their best song on the album, but at least you can get an idea:

Great thread - I've only jumped around it, but y'all got some great taste.

I feel like when I need to buy a record right now, one is never enough...

      My votes:

Poison Idea - Kings Of Punk

Quintron - Unmasked Organ Light Year

      Jack Oblivian - So Low

That's so funny!  I just saw Hunx and His Punx on the 28th of May in Warsaw!  They were so fun!!!  I even got to meet Shannon and have a shot of Vodka with her!  It was a great evening...
