It's been more than a decade since the last Garage Stomp rocked the Northwest. I think that we need a new Garage/Wild Rock 'n' Roll festival in Washington. New Orleans has the Ponderosa Stomp, Memphis has Gonerfest, even Oakland has Budget Rock. The Seattle/Tacoma area should have its own. We've got great bars, beautiful parks, awesome weather in the late Summer, heck, we even have legal weed, not to mention a garage rock history that matches up with any other part of the country. This town needs to get shaken out of it's indie-folk coma and I think a weekend of some good, loud, real rock 'n' roll would do the trick.
