Any record nerds know of any cool record shops in San Diego? I know you probably don't want to give away your secret gem mines... but I have an addiction I need to feed so I need to ask.


I'm moving to North SD County this week and might have to do a little exploring.


So far the only stores I know of are Taang, and Lou's in Encinitas and neither of those really have a good selection of used vinyl, especially 45s.

There is a place on garnet in PB that has quite bit to sift through. I don't remember the name. It is near the thrift shops.

I notice the Kobey's Swap Meet has a lot these days. I think hard times are causing folks to try to unload their stuff.

The old Off The Record by SDSU is long gone. :(

it's been awhile so it may not be around anymore, but there was a good Off the Record , not the one downtown, but one by the college if i remember correctly. it had lots of vinyl stuff, and a good selection. the other one was okay, but was filled with alternativos. other than that i've never done much record shopping down there.
