Are you in a band? Does your band reside outside of Canada (USA, Europe, Japan, etc.)? Has your band avoided crossing the Canadian border to play gigs due to having to pay Government fees that generally cost more than you or the promoter could possibly make at your proposed show? GOOD NEWS: said fees have now been quashed! These were always a major-league stumbling block for myself and many other underground promoters for many years, and really helped in killing off the Live Music scene here in Vancouver. Will be interesting to see how this works out. Seems to me that someone down at the Canadian side of Peace Arch Crossing had a particular Hate-On for Rock'n'Roll. Man, are they gonna be pissed!

Hey, thanks for letting everyone know - I didn't realize they were backing off on the new fees announced last year. This is great news for us northerners thirsting for some new sounds. Welcome to Canada all you rocking bands!
