    Jeff The 13th Floor Elevators were rehearsing last night for their reunion tomorrow at 10pm, PsychFest/Levitation.  In this pic are Ronnie Leatherman, John Ike Walton, and YES, that's TOMMY HALL on JUG on the far right.

      I STILL HAVE'NT HEARD WHO'S GOING TO BE SITTING IN. i THOUGHT THEY SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT IN ROD PRINCE FROM BUBBLE PUPPY TO DO A FEW NUMBERES , BUT , BUBBLE PUPPY , TO MY KNOWLEDGE ,HAVE''NT EVEN BEEN ASKED TO PLAY THE PSYCHFEST. Thanks for posting.

They pretty much sound like they should, a little off the cuff at times , but not compared to the 1984 show. Whoever is standing in on Guitar (I still don't know . Do you?) , they played with a lot of taste. Tommy is showboating a bit , they did'nt need the jug going through every verse Roky sang.....But , they did the impossible , and have some good music to show for it.

      John Battles THANKS , JEFF. The same person has Levitation and You're Gonna Miss Me up. Just shot from an iphone of whatever , but they did a good job, sound is good.

  • John Battles Dallas Punk gods , The Nervebreakers , have a new album out on Steady Freddie Records. The Nervebreakers ruled the roost in the Late 70's/Early 80s , and they opened for The Sex Pistols , The Ramones and The Clash. They also backed Roky Erickson. They reformed in 2008 and recorded this album which is just now seeing the light of day. Trust me , it sounds like '77-'78 all over again. All fans of ''Killed By Death" style Punk are advised to buy the album , which is called "Face Up To Reality".
